Chuck was on fire in Mannheim last month. Although some of his other gigs were not as good I can't complain. It's a miracle we get to see him at all. Note to CB II, please come back to Germany soon. I'll be there for sure.

Spoke to my friend who works in a CD and ticket shop. He says no FOS tickets for AC/DC. However, I wouldn't be suprised if they make a no cost FOS area. You'd just have to be early enough to one of the lucky ones. Even The Stones did that at Munich Olympiahalle and Zurich Stadion 2003.

Absolutely Dylan's Blonde on Blonde is a masterpiece. However, and this going to piss off a lot of people here...but nothing will ever top The Beatles. Not in any of our lifetimes, just ask Keef He'd probabably agree. Again, I'll state this does not affect my "fandom" for The Stones. Hopefully you guys will be objective and not brutally biased.

These days I'm also a bigger Stones fan but there's no way I can say Aftermath is better than Revolver. Some of you may not agree but The Beatles win that one in my book.

I'm kind of wondering if that isn't someone who resembles Mick. Something seems off to me.

Thank you for the photo from Dusseldorf. I was there too. A very strong performance I'm happy to say. Also got a pick from Ronnie at the B-Stage. What a time!!!!!

Yoko requested to think of John on his birthday which makes good sense. However, the day (and moment) I'll always remember is his senseless death and what it meant to me. This may somehow connect to the earlier thread where someone asked when the hippy movemenet ended. Perhaps this somehow answers that. With some of us it did not end. Thank you John for the great music, happiness, and humani

Hey CB II is there really a problem between Chuck and The Stones these days or is it just publicity? At least Keith did the birthday gig for Chuck's 60th birthday. Of course they (Stones) owe him more than that. Would be something to see them together. Probably comparable to Buddy Guy's spot I'd imagine, which is my favorite. Also loved the performance with John Lee Hooker. Too bad

Will the Stones have a guest spot for Chuck Berry on the next tour?

For stages I like everything from Steel Wheels to Bigger Bang. For music I like the '73 tour. However in the end all music and tours are great for different reasons.

Just watched the 69 London disc. Jesus christ what power! Was thinking if we had bands like this today maybe it would just be too much. Our heads would explode!

Very nice indeed. Sounds like he's not at all jaded by the past. I hope he gets everything that he deserves. His period with The Stones is my favorite. Same with Bob Dylan. Aside from the hits, Infadels is my favorite. I'm sure lots of people would disagree with me on that.

Here is the link to the German article. Sorry I can't translate it. Just cut and paste into "babelfish". Hope this solves your curiosity. Cheers.

Sleepy City, I don't know where he got that information from. I'll ask him, then post it here. Question to you if you know... is the last song of his set "whole lotta shakin' goin' on"? I ask because it happened about a minute into the song. Forgive me I'm not really a fan of Jerry Lee, a little too much country for my taste.

Update on Jerry Lee Lewis' action toward the guitar player. Apparently it's part of the show. My buddy who was with me at last night's concert read somewhere on the net that Jerry does that at all shows. Again, Chuck was SUPER in Mannheim. So many great guitar riffs. Probably my favorite concert from him. I only saw him since 1996.

Definately no heart attack. Just got back from seeing him in Mannheim. Looked fit as a fiddle! However Jerry lee showed little emotion during his set until the last song where he kicked his stool(very hard and fast) back at the guitarist then waved gooddbye to the audience, then he gave the middle finger to the guitarist as he left the stage. Back to Chuck- he played awesome! Only a few times whe

Know how you feel mexistone. My Keef pick is treasure. Funny thing it's only 5 cent plastic but can provoke such emotion. I'll never forget the moment when I caught it in Koln 1995, like a child at Christmas.

I think the eye make-up and trinkets in his hair adds to his persona. Deep down we fans like this or we wouldn't follow him. Therefore I say "yes" to the hair color. We want our hero to look somewhat youthful? Furthermore Mick cannot lose hair or let it go grey. Simple as that. They have an image to uphold.

Don't forget the great rocker "Smile Away" on Ram. That's my favorite solo Paul album, though not well polished like Band On The Run.

The video is clean (as it should be). However for my taste they focus too much on Robin and not enough Rick. Great to see Bun E. with the huge drum sticks again. Also I really like the 2 songs performed this year (in the bonus). Haven't played the CD's yet but they physically look OK. Hope you find a good copy soon.

Like them all except Bridges To Babylon. That one is over produced. Also I believe Mick and Keith are very much apart on that one.

I got it today. As stated all the CD's have scuffs and a line caused from the packaging. Fortunately the DVD played OK. After pulling the discs from the package I put the whole thing back together and it's still a tight fit. Hope the Stones never do a box like this, it would be tragic for sure.

Hi Fred, when you coming over to Europe again? Maybe you're waiting for The Stones. Hopefully that'll be next year. My friends think I have a BIG collection, and subsequentially out of my mind. However, I know I can't stand up to some of you guys. At least my landlords wife screamed when she saw my shrine. It's only Rock and Roll.

Legal action? I'm afraid RS.Com personnel have probably thought of that already and have a plan in place to ensure they don't take a loss. You do make solid points though. I might add to your list the fact of the ticket hoarding for the Munich Circus Krone show in 2003. I paid for my membership trying to get tickets for this "holy grail" show only to be dissappointed b
