MT plays the octave riff over the chorus part on YCAGWYW if you want to hear that awesome playing.Listen for Taylor's guitar its very easy to hear.On any 72/73 boot but my favorite is from 1972 the philly 1 special. Also MT's trademark Winter Licks can be heard on YCAGWYW from 72 or 73.

The reason MT was so important during his stay is that he changed the sound of the stones from a pop sound with brian jones to more of a blusier raw rocking sound which was very important at that time going into 1970 with larger shows and the solo becoming very important. They went from making pop songs in the studio to playing those songs live with no screaming girls. He changed the whole

La Forum, Wow you also believe that Jagger and MT collaborated in the studio and MT should of got songwriting credit for supplying that 2nd guitar and helping Jagger get songs done like SWAY and Moonlight and others when Keith was MIA. The key is these songs would of not got done because Jagger needed that 2nd guitar. MT also helped jagger sing his ass off and they created some magical m

Another thing MT and the stones worked there asses off from 69 to 74 and were either in the studio or touring.Same thing can,t be said of the WOODY years. 1969 - LIB and Tour 1970 - tour and sticky 1971 sticky and exile 1972 tour 1973 tour GHS 1974 IORR MT worked hard Woody years just guessing off the top of my head 1975 - Inspiration for Black and Blue 1975 - tour 197

I think Some Girls is a great guitar record with the weaving and charlies best drumming record. One of MT's first GLISTENING leads is from IM Free fron 1969.That solo just gets in your ear and flys sort of like David Gilmour with all the space for MT to soar. MT's chunky rhythm on Carol and Little Queenie sure add to the dyanmite on Ya Ya's.Listen to MT's octave rif

How can anyone come to the conclusion that MT was a fill in.He played all the greatest stones records and his studio contributions with all his timeless solos blow away the output of any other guitar god during that time span of 69-74. He played on the greatest live studio release in Ya Ya's and played on the greatest record in exile. He took Honky Tonk Woman and made it a classic r

Woody has no clue and can,t play when the band gives him Space. live is improvisation and not canned arrangements and setlists and backup singers and all the rest of the glitter.

Ron Wood had great contributions to the stones studio records playing many instruments. But Live Ron Wood is tin and showed no real desire to improvise. Listen to his attempt at a solo on YCAGWYW on FF from London he has no idea what to play when he tries an extended solo.

The guy in the black hanging around the studio thats Gram parson's right. If you notice Jagger and Jones are playing the opening rhythm and keith comes by and sits down and the song takes off.keith is playing in open E. Also keith plays a creamy blues riff fooling around on electric and you wonder why he never played those licks going foward. Also keith i think towards the end whe

I bought Neil Young's greatest hits and if you want some great guitar interplay listen to Down By The River and Cowgirl in the sound. The rhythm guitar and disorted electric guitar come right out of the speakers and make you pick up your guitar. Keith and Ronnie have not done that interplay or the ancient form of weaving since Some Girls. Neil Young and Danny Witten sure sound great.

I am a harcore fan and the stones have not put out a good studio record since some girls can,t count tatoo you since they raided the vault. So I HAVE NO EXPECTATIONS CD 1 of live licks I can live without but cd2 was worth the money for me.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse might be one of the most underated bands coming out of that generation. Neil Young is great on acoustic like KEITH and has his own unqiue ELECTRIC GRUNGE Sound and love is killer electric playing AJA
