The set in Macau was almost exactly as long as the first show ever in China (HK 2003). I'm not surprised by that. But I'm indeed surprised that they did some (by Stones standards) diverse and long sets in 2012-2013 and got back to the Licks-proven greatest hits plus ONE (I can't stop pointing it out!!!) spot for a "rarity". Guess the fan vote for Shanghai will be Street F

QuoteStoneage The 2012-14 shows follows the same pattern. There are rotations of songs in the first 1/3 of the show. The rest, 2/3, is pretty static. It's unlikely that they will change this pattern. We can wish for this or that but that won't, most probably, change things. Yeah but the difference between 2012/13 and 2014 is that now they only have space left for one ballad and one

Good point Gazza. In 1978 or 1982 they were still musically relevant and toured to promote their album. Since the 80s, their albums have basically been alibis for monster tours. I think the "driving force" behind the static setlists today is Jagger, who always wants to play it safe. He's the greatest frontman ever but he also seems to be very afraid of the audience's reaction,

25/11/12 was a perfect set IMHO

I agree with you Doxa. The songs are great and I'm totally okay with the MR to Satisfaction part of the show. But at least the first half should contain some surprises to attract e.g. - me

And of course it would be better with 22 instead of 19 songs. Because they could add Rocks Off, Out Of Time and I'm Going Down for example

I remember being in Hannover in 2006 and when they started YGMR on the B-stage, I thought "seriously?". Great show anyway. But boring for anyone who owns more than 40 Licks

Yeah in Dubai they even had the guts to let the fans vote about songs they are were going to play anyway

And by the way...I am bored by the 4000th rendition of Start Me Up when I could hear She Was Hot instead. A song that is better IMHO but was played 10 times or so since it was released

Yeah...I'm just waiting to get deleted or blocked. Because my opinion does not fit the official Rolling Stones merchandise...I still enjoy the Stones, for Christs sake, but I won't stop to critize just because you don't want to hear it

Okay. The deal is obviously "We are the Stones. We are great live band and have some fabulous songs. Just give us 500 bucks, listen to Hot Rocks or 40 Licks and we promise you will know every single song we play on stage." I don't get it. They obviously are rich and famous enough. Of course they gave up any artist relevance 30 years ago, but for me, who loves the Stones for the alb

Yeah well but what are you, calling everyone who dares to complain a naysayer? A claquer, I guess.

Since I've been ignored in any other thread in which I complained, I decided to start a new one about this topic. I am not a naysayer, but everybody here has to admit that till now the 2014 tour is a huge letdown, setlist wise. I really love the Stones but I don't want to spend hundreds of Euros for a show I could have attended twenty years ago. The newest setlist only leave space f

And before you kill me for being a setlist whiner: I am just not willing to spend hundreds of bucks of money I literally don't have for my absolutely favourite band to hear them play 40 Licks, Disc 1, Slipping Away and Before They Make Me Run! They could bring in more rarities in 2012-2014, so why not now?

I am pissed. How can they waste their last concerts ever in Japan with 19 song sets full of warhorses. I was already kinda pissed when I went to their concert in 2006. It was great, but the set was so boring, I thought then. Well, at least they did As Tears Go By and Streets of Love which must be considered rare treats by 2014 standards.

As a Japanese fan I would be really pissed. 3 greatest hits shows. Even the two shows in 2006 appear like club gigs, setlist wise, compared to this.

OMG this setlist is sooooo boring. The only rare threat for Tokyo was Silver Train. What happened to them since Staples Center May 2 last year??? Even the 2007 Euro tour had more adventurous setlists!!

The 50 and Counting set for Tokyo No. 2 could have been: 1. Get Off Of My Cloud 2. It's Only Rock'n'Roll 3. Respectable 4. Paint It Black 5. Gimmie Shelter 6. Lady Jane 7. Emotional Rescue 8. Silver Train 9. Out Of Control 10. Doom And Gloom 11. Honky Tonk Women 12. Slipping Away 13. Happy 14. Midnight Rambler 15. Miss You 16. Start Me Up 17. Tumbling Dice 18. S

I'm glad they did Silver Train anyway, but c'mon their web choice is a joke. They apparently consider You Got Me Rockin a rarity...

I think the 14 On Fire setlists are a huge letdown compared to 50 and Counting. Now they have one single spot (one!!!) for a deep album cut, and by the time they hit Europe they will surely be doing an 18 song set...I seriously doubt that I will be going just to see another Licks show minus any rarity!

It's always fun to see 90 percent of the people on RS facebook vote for Brown Sugar or Satisfaction to be played that night. I guess that only a minority of the RS facebook "fans" has ever attended a Stones concert.

Well, if nothing else happens after One More Shot, we're down to 20 songs and that would be awful considering the high ticket prices and the fact that they will drop rarities in order to get the warhorses played.

It is well known that Taylor has always been the greedy force behind the official Stones. He's like the Pollos Hermanos guy on Breaking Bad. As a matter of fact, Mick, Keith, Charlie and Bill wanted to quit the band in 1974, but Taylor forced them to carry on in order to make more money and chose to step back in order to mislead the public's attention. Without Taylor, Keith would have j
