Hello, Van Morrison tonight at The Bridgewater Hall,Manchester. First time I'll have seen the old scrote. I don't even own a single recording by him either, although I believe that the guitarist in his stage band is Mr. Mick Green, who still can 'wow',especially when playing old-school R'n'R with The Pirates. In fact,I wish it was The Pirates on tonight! Cheer

Hello, First time seeing NY and wasn't sure what to expect really because I only know his 3 cd 'Decade' greatest hits.Yes,I am ashamed of myself. The live reviews for the UK shows so far have been ranging from delirious to merely ecstatic, but I reckoned that no-one could be that good.Yep,I reckoned wrong. Due to meeting the kindly scouse soul who sold me his mate's spar

Hello, Just back from Morecambe, which must be the horizontal-rain capital of Europe.Mental weather. Anyway, just saw Mr. Hugh Cornwell perform his solo acoustic show in what used to be a railway platform. Another revelation of a performer, this guy:he can play that guitar magnificently, sing great, has charisma and of course he does have the songs to put it all across! I think I may be tu

Hello, Just back in from some top-class mid-week show malarkey. Being pretty much a novice Eels-person,I recently dived head-first into Mark E.'s world via his recently released 'best of' and 'rarities' albums, and also his astonishing book... ...which should be compulsory reading.Simple as. There wasn't a support act:instead there was a screening of thi

Hello, Back to the Lowry to see the bloke who used to front Mott The Hoople, now playing with Steve Holley (drums and vocals and banter) and James Mastro (frankly amazing guitar and mandolin),in support of his latest album,"Shrunken Heads". Apart from reading "Diary Of A Rock'n'Roll Star",I'll have to admit to knowing almost cock-all about Ian Hunte

Hello EG and Adrian, I think that's how Adrian 'suffered' his injury in the first place,heh-heh-heh! Sorry to hear about your setback A.L.-if you do have to defer I can only imagine how disappointed you'll be,after all the hard work and anticipation. I wish you a miracle recovery! Cheers, Si.

Hello, Just back from seeing someone about whom the word 'legend' could be used fairly-Ms. Warwick. Now 67 years old,and in discomfort from a (hopefully temporary) foot problem she still managed to hold this audience for 2 hours-plus,with a deserved 20 minute interval! Basically the show is DW charting the course of her professional life through anecdotes and song. What song

Hello, Yep,that is the one thing you are guaranteed from PT-an honest answer. Trouble is though the sod reserves the right to change his mind, but whatever he says is what he believes to be true...at that moment. Cannot help but love him for his candour. And the songs. And the guitar-mauling. Alright,so far it's candour, songs and guitar-mauling,but really...what else has PT done?

Hello, If it's Saturday,it's a converted Church in lovely Crewe to see and hear five Who fans put on the most enjoyable show you'll ever hear this side of PT's front door! Their emphasis is all about recreating the sounds, with the visuals quite correctly down the pecking-order.So accurately is this accomplished at times it is impossible not to be swept along-these guys p

Well Good Evening! Just back from seeing "Europe's top Led Zeppelin tribute band at the world famous Blackpool Tower Lounge". Their words (http://www.letzzep.com/index.php),not mine.
