Same as Gazza, probably the same tour in 2004 I was late getting to the gig and the support act (Stan Webb) was already on and as I walked into the foyer John was standing there. I stopped and chatted to him for about 5 minutes, told him I was a stones fan, we talked about mick taylor, he told me a bit about stan webb, I bought a dvd and cd and he signed them for me. On the way out he was there a

"While the show was supposed to end at 10.30pm, the demand of 20,000 screaming fans for more songs from the greats - Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts - meant the show went on till way past the time limit, violating local council rules." What a great bit of publicity from the Stones. If we didn't know better, then reading that, the band were ready to fin

Yes, I am in the same boat but not close enough to just turn up tonight and hope for a ticket. By the time I add on travel and accommodation I just can't justify it. I dearly wish that I could go.

If that were the set list (except she's so cold is there twice) I could see Mick T and Bill joining for YCAGWYW through to red rooster, then back on again for the last 2 or 3 songs.

I just read that Bill Wyman is 76 years old. I don't know why this fact had escaped me until now but anyway: Bill - 76 Mick - 69 Keith - 68 Charlie - 71 Ronnie - 65 Mick T - 63 I think this makes the shows that they are about to perform remarkable and I take my hat off to them. Just had to say it, amazing!

Quoteab Quoteskelly Serious answer - Sam Cutler. He was the tour manager at that time. Nope. He's the announcer on Ya-Yas. You are correct. (I think). Cutler wouldn't have been around the band in 73 would he?

I'm with you buddy. I've done all the number crunching in the last couple of days and it doesn't work for me and my wife to go. Decent tickets, flights, hotels, time off work, and so on, I cant do it. With 2 young kids I can't justify the outlay which is a shame. Good luck though to those who can, I hope you have a great time.

Teleblaster, how about the ferry again, early May. There's another tribute act on. I'll just need to arrange a babysitter for wee Keith and Anita and I'll be there.

Not Fopp Gazza, I think it might be missing records I was thinking of. I'm actually planning on buying a record player this year so might be heading back in there soon.

I'm not a record collector but there was a place under central station bridge. No idea if it is any good though, I just remember having a quick look a year or so ago. If you are on Argyle street walk towards central station, (main railway station). There is a big green coloured bridge taking the trains into the station, the place was below there. Sorry if its not any good, I've got no

I heard this on the radio this morning and had hoped that some of the lost Stones appearances on TOTP from the 60's would resurface too. Unfortunately it looks like this Bowie footage is a one off.

Quotebelld Quoteskelly I'm just back from watching live in Texas at the cinema and I absolutely loved it. Great sound, great footage, great band. I thought it was awesome. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? Thanks for this Steven. Unfortunately we were in North America to visit friends and missed the showing in Glesca Toon. Pissed off in Lochwinnoch. Hope to see you soon for th

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotebrownsugar86 QuoteThe GR Forgot: nice to see Mick flufffing the lyrics early on and problems with the keyboards. Perhaps that's why they filed it away all this time. Incidentally there were 15 people at Southampton in a cinema that holds 120. Which song did he fluff? That's gotta be the classic start on Let It Rock, where he holds the band back whil

QuoteStargazer QuoteEddieByword Not one disappointing moment and only 7 people in the whole place - perfect..........................and that included 4 of us......... There were about 60/70 fans in Edinburgh. I managed to bag a poster for a £5 donation to charity! Well chuffed...>< Only 5 of us at the showcase in Glasgow.

You do get a lot of jagger but to be fair its hard not to, he's at his best and never stops. There are plenty of good shots of the rest of the band especially when Keith and Ron are doing backing vocals (which is quite often).
