I attended the Munich concert during the No Filter tour. We were in the now called "Silver pit" area. That's relatively far away from the stage. Additionally, you see all the people sitting around B stage, hardly doing anything by watching. Aweful. It's not worth the money as you find yourself staring at the screens most of the time.

Bill provided an unrivalled groove to the Stones' music - on stage. It's sadly also true that many of his recorded studio contributions were finally overdubbed by Keith or Ronnie. On stage he just made it. He'd given the Stones' sound also that certain something which is missed since he has left.

Hard to say if they touched up or only touched the recordings. They've done overdubbing already on Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out. Here's what wikipedia says: The performances captured for this release were recorded on 27 November 1969 (one show) and 28 November 1969 (two shows) at New York City's Madison Square Garden, except for "Love in Vain", recorded in Baltimore on 26

IMO, that's nothing worth talking about. It's just stage behaviour in these days. Other bands did much more offensive things on stage ...

I never liked any of them. Furthermore, I believe all of them are much overrated. Wouldn't go even if I'd get tickets for free.

QuoteDoxa QuoteSpud Bill's never been bothered beyond the occasional feeling of slight annoyance. He doesn't seem to have any ego where his musical contribution is concerned . One less job to do...more time for chasing skirt Not quite so. In his book STONE ALONE Bill makes it pretty clear that he lost his interest to contribute creatively more to their records during the BEGGAR

I was born in 1973, thus it was a fantastic year :-) As far as popular music in this very year is concerned, there were some great releases such as Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd Arosmith - Aerosmith Quadrophenia - The Who Let's Get It On - Marvin Gaye Catch A Fire - Bob Marley & The Wailers Aladdin Sane - David Bowie Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield Berlin - Lou Reed ... pl

I've once read that the Stones had been asked to play Woodstock but weren't allowed to enter the States because of legal proceedings due to drug abuse in England ... don't know if that's really true.

We've all been waiting for the long announced new Stones album. In the meantime we've got deluxe versions of GHS and TY incl. "new songs", at least they've been released officially by now. in the past, Mick and Keith both often argued that certain songs need to mature until a certain time to get released. That happened quite a few times ... TY is the perfect example. But

Hope Far Away Eyes will make it ... fingers crossed that poll is not predefined, i.e. all votes are useless as the band already has chosen their favourite to play.

QuoteIrix QuoteMeise I bought the BR version of Four Flicks a couple of years ago. Must have been a Bootleg then? Sorry, I was mistaken. I had "Biggest Bang" BR in my mind. Of course, Four Flicks is on normal DVD format. Thanks for the hint :-)

QuoteIrix QuoteFour Stone Walls But it would of course be great to see Bill - and Mick T - at a 60th show. Hyde Park 2013 would have already been a nice opportunity .... 1-2 songs each in their original lineup with Bill Wyman and/or Mick Taylor - but they didn't. Mick Taylor DID play with the Stones in Hyde Park 2013 - on MR and Satisfaction.

At least since the release of Bridges To Babylon, The Rolling Stones is not a band but a project. We've been waiting for a new album since when? What are the Stones doing but touring and making as much money as possible? Besides "Blue & Lonesome" we've got re-releases and concert footage during the last decade, also intended to raise money. Most people attending Stones

Charlie, you were a true icon. Your drumming style gave the music of the Stones that certain something. Thank you for all the decades that you have given us so much joy. We will miss you very much, and yet you keep drumming in our hearts, feelings and of course all records and videos. You were the undisputed No.1 among all drummers. Rest in peace, Charlie.
