Illinois governor Pritzker announced today that a state-wide indoor mask mandate is back on. Before anyone starts disparaging this plan or the governor, let me say I applaud this move and can say most people in Chicago had already been wearing masks indoors at grocery stores and the like for a few weeks now.

ZZ Top had definitely NOT ceased performing in the past several years, other than COVID delays. They have been touring more than ever. I saw them headline Bourbon & Beyond fest in Sept. 2019. ZZ Top has another 30 or so shows scheduled for 2021 alone, and they said they will do the dates even though Dusty passed.

Quotedrbryant Quotejon12345 There's been so many articles and tributes today that I can't remember where I read this today, but I believe I read it was complications from aortic valve replacement. I think that there may be some confusion. Mick had aortic valve replacement surgery in 2019. I thought maybe that they were confusing things when I read it. Other articles also mentioned

RIP Charlie Watts. I never got a good picture of Charlie during the 2nd Chicago June 2019 show due to my angle to his drum set from the pit. He was such a humble pro that he’d probably laugh at this photo being chosen as tribute, with his face hidden behind a cymbal. He never seemed to demand attention, instead happy to stay in the back and just do his job to keep the World’s Greatest Rock n Ro

Quotemarmass They sure knew his real health condition and probably they talked between them about it with Charlie himself, who knows? If you think about The Who, they played the night after John Entwistle was found dead in a hotel room. It's up to the left Stones to decide. We'll see. QuoteTumblinDice76 Saw The Who opening night in Tinley after Entwistle passed. Major down grade from th

QuoteJavadave The Pixies just cancelled all of their U.S. dates: Included Riot Fest 2021 which I have tickets for. I bought the tixs mainly to see NIN and Pixies. NIN cancelled all 2021 shows on Friday/Saturday. Riot Fest announced Slipknot would replace NIN on Sunday. Then Monday, Pixies cancelled all shows and the singer of Slipknot announced he had COVID and was "very, very sick.&qu

Quotespikenyc All these tours that are about to begin are doing this in the USA. Im happy they are doing this, but frankly its just to cover the promoters and venues ass for liabilities. Do you really think they will be able to check and verify everyone that shows up to a 60,000 plus size stadium? I doubt it. Lolla did it for 100,000 daily attendees. It seemed to have worked. There were only

QuoteTheBluesHadaBaby AEG's decision is awesome news, for the tour and for me. It means two very important things. One, this tour is now almost certain to happen. And two, I won't be sharing tight space in pits in Nashville and Atlanta with people maybe 30% of whom (my own estimates) were going to be unvaxxed. Something I was willing to do to see possibly the Stones' last American

Quotebye bye johnny AEG Presents to Require Proof of Vaccination for Ticketholders and Crew at All U.S. Venues By Chris Willman August 12,2021 In one of the strongest statements yet made by a major player in support of a pro-vaccination policy in the live music industry, AEG Presents, the second-largest live company in the country, has announced that proof of vaccination will be required g

Any idea how they will enforce the unvaxxed/untested to maintain wearing a mask after they enter the stadium? This is worse for vaccinated people that take this seriously then just having everyone wear a mask, like at the Vegas show.

Quotednewton99 oooh did that happen to some band where they borrowed a spectator to be the drummer??? Happened to The Who. Keith Moon drank horse tranquilizer before a show to calm his nerves, only to pass out during the set. Fan in the crowd, Scott Haplin, filled in for him.

Going to a sold-out Willie Nelson & Family show on Saturday. Never seen him before, though I have seen his similarly talented son before. Really looking forward to it, but will be my first massive concert with thousands in attendance of the COVID era. I'll be vaxxed and wearing a mask. Willie's music lends itself to weed edibles instead of beer anyway, so don't mind wearing the

Quotebv If you are fully vaccinated, and otherwise healthy, you should be fine at a Stones show this year in USA. If you are 80+ and fully vaccinated, then stay at home. If you have an organ transplant or another issue that makes you at risk, even being vaccinated, then stay at home. Ask your doctor, then you will know if you are safe. Now that there are new studies showing the Pfizer vaccine i

Quote24FPS I don't know if ticket sales are as brisk as they wanted anyway. I'm constantly bombarded on Facebook with ads to buy for the L.A. concert. In the past it would have sold out, and a second concert, or third added. Maybe the excitement of seeing the Stones has finally ebbed. Plus Charlie, probably a minor anti-inducement, and Covid the larger element in killing the buzz. The L

Quotekv2915 I don't think so at all. I just saw a bunch of venues in Nashville are now requiring vax or negative tests for entry as well as Bonnaroo festival and other artists. If the Stones do that, some may return tix. I'm very likely returning my Tampa tickets because they aren't requiring vax, tests or masks.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but the Las Vegas show is now requiring masks worn for the entire concert, regardless of vaccination status. There's a new message shown when you look at tickets on Ticketmaster. This is the only show of the tour that is requiring masks for all. "Allegiant Stadium takes the health and safety of its guests, employees, and staff very seriously.
