Quotebye bye johnny From an interview with Philippe Manoeuvre, published in Paris Match April 10: Google Translate This is not a scoop, you suggested in the English press that the Rolling Stones would record their first album of new material for fourteen years. Can you confirm it? KR: Not only I confirm, but I add that it takes shape, titles were put in box a fortnight ago. For a year, M

BV and georgelicks probably have nothing new to announce about the album. They're obviously not working on it. They'd be rehearsing right now for the tour if it was still on regular schedule. Mick just had major surgery and is recovering. I expect no news about the album until at least the fall now, as the tour is pushed back to July/August most likely. As I've said before in this

QuoteHomerSimpson Pet peeve of mine...we need to stop calling something “rare” when it’s on YouTube. It’s not rare anymore! I consider something like this rare as it was just posted on YouTube a few days ago and "rarely" seen by anyone since the interview took place almost 40 years ago. So yeah it is rare lol

I couldn't stop laughing at the end of the interview when he smiled, realizing his answer to the last question, fake coughing, and told her she could edit the last bit under his breath, and she's like "hmmm?" Watching a Mick interview is always funny. Almost every interview he does, he bullshits his way through it. I would to if I was asked the same stupid questions for we

This is a great interview from Mick during the '81 tour that was just posted on YouTube, especially what he says when the interview ends in response to his answer to the last question..."You can always edit that last bit."

Praying for a speedy recovery Mick! Very scary to hear something like this for him but it seems like it's nothing too serious, which is a relief. I'll be holding on to that ticket of mine. One's health is so important, especially for a man who will be 76 this year.

Favorite live era: 1968-1982; as much as they matured as a live band starting in 1989, I think they lost that sloppy/dirty sound that made them sound so great. Favorite studio era: Obviously 1968-1972. Nobody in the history of music produced absolute masterpieces like Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers & Exile. A close second would be 1978-1981. There was an all around "fu

I'm guessing HONK was more of Universal's idea than it was the Stones themselves. Universal wants that $$$$$ to cash in with the upcoming tour. It's a marketing thing. People will buy it and the record company will make money off of it. That's how it works. As pointless as HONK is, it's a great companion album to go with HOT ROCKS. I also do appreciate that half of th
