I imagine the op is already scheduled (if not this week then next) but we won't know till afterwards and I can't blame the man for wanting a bit of peace. I note 3 months recuperation, so I reckon you're looking at late July thro' mid - Sept if we're talking 17 dates again with 3 days break between each one. That should be ok for stadium gigs surely?

Great idea for a thread BTW I think the very very first germ of my personal Stones odyssey was my parents disdain for Tumbling Dice when it was no 2 in the UK charts in 1972 Anything they hated so much had to be good ha ha My Dad was disparaging about Mick's "look" and they both hated the music They must have been over the moon when the next year I asked for GHS for my 15th bir

I've been lucky enough to see them do a few rarities, but yes there were a few blank faces around me. Most recently Fool To Cry at London Stadium last year. They largely play safe as they are still filling 50,000 seater stadiums. However I personally have seen them do Salt Of The Earth, She Was Hot, I Go Craxy (James Brown tribute), Let It Bleed, She's So Cold, Ruby Tuesday, It's

Quotebitusa2012 Quotediverseharmonics Sorry maybe a bit harsh but there it is. Tired of this BS. ....and yet, here you are I feel this. But what needs to happen now is another great mini tour and a good new album. Doesn't have to be great just a good album with 1/2 standout tracks. Then a farewell concert in my garden in Barnet, UK.

Quoteexilestones QuoteChris Fountain Carol (GYYYO) is the quintessential Chuck Berry replicate. Star , Star just doesn't seem to fit on GHS. It just doesn't fit on any other same era album such as ER or SG. Tops of Tattoo You seems to convey the same message better with much more swagger and feel. As far as Star Star not fitting on GHS which I've hear a few times now makes

QuoteLien Ronnie arrived in LA.. Didn"t he tell us this when he attended the snooker at Alexandra Palace? I think he said going into the studio ...don't imagine this is solo activity so this is for rehearsals/recording (a bit of both)

Well ...if this thread has done nothing else it made me dig out GHS and give it a listen again. It will always have a special place for me as my first Stones album. Today standout track was Coming Down Again probably change tomorrow but Coming Down Again is wonderful. Delicate piano and lyrics that for the fan actually mean something as Keith sings about Anita

QuoteOpenG great song - reminds me of something Taylor would play along John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers - How can a song not be good when Jagger says COME On BOY and Taylor rips is solo. I love the fact that on Sweet Summer Sun DVD they use Hide Your Love with the Outro Credits of the DVD Took me 40 years to love Hide Your Love
