QuoteSpud Quotebv Please give me a break. This is not the smalltalk thread. This thread is not about set lists or what sort of "redcoat" entertainer Mick is and so on and on. Feel free to post about set lists in the set list thread, and about "Mick Jagger the entertainer" if you think Readcoat slang remarks do make sense in an international non-political place like IORR

QuoteNankstone Sure - but i visited the most places in Dartford and Cheltenham some years ago This trip only London please. I saw somewhere that the 5 phone boxes that the original line up were photographed outside in the early days are still there. At Marble Arch apparently but I stand ready to be corrected!

QuoteTravelinMan Quoteexhpart I was there too! I well remember Clapton coming on and my recollection is Key To The Highway as a (final) encore ...but it's a while back of course Incredible! Thanks TravelinMan yes a great memory 47 years later. There is another poster here called Spud who was there too I'm sure some great memories for both of us. I was 17 and - sad to say - the f

Sad to hear. Very large part of my youth in the late 70's and saw them live at least once. I think The Selector as support. At 63 he was younger than me so that certainly strikes home. RIP

Just following the discussion there have been exceptions. Glastonbury for example I believe I read somewhere was a much reduced fee as they wanted to do it. And I guess the marketing of Havana or Rio (or Beacon Theatre or Fonda) also took into account the movie and additonal album sales. So I don't think 5 million is set in stone (excuse the pun)

I truly believe and hope there WILL be one final album. And Black and Blue only had 8 tracks. I think they are listening and listening, refining and refining and will give us one last big hurrah. I only hope they listen to their gut (and here I guess we are simply talking Mick and Keith) and when it's done - don't over-refine it! Put it out!

Thanks for that. £155 I could do. But checking today still £457 though that is front of stage.

I'm in the UK and I was happy with £90 for the Stones at Hyde Park in 2013 and £95 this year. If I had been a bit quicker £100 for Bruce would have been OK but he seems to have sold faster than the Stones.I see Villa Park is still on sale but £457 is a bit much for me. His whole man of the people BS is blown wide open now surely?

The volume at HP isn't loud enough. Period. I attended HP 1 in 2013 and HP 1 and HP 2 this year. For me, always the same. It's just not loud enough. And the curfew is a drag as well but I suppose it's to be expected in such a venue right in the centre of London. Have to say it put me off going to Springsteen next year - that, and the price!

Quotekeefriffhards Quotelem motlow QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteslewan If I was Jagger I'd make sure to have Mick Taylor back onboard for a couple of songs so that he can take Ronnie's place or even replace him if necessary Taylor got his chance to do whatever. It didn't work. So, you know, Ronnie. Ronnie's ego has never gotten in the way. Absolutely. Anyone that thinks if

QuoteHairball Looking ahead, the final show at Waldbühne has the potential of being the best show due to the unique small venue w/capacity of only 22,000, but as someone else mentioned it could end up being the equivalent of the anti-climactic lackluster final US show in 2021 at the Hard Rock Live in Florida. Something tells me though they could be aware of the mixed reviews of that show, and t

Great gig. Not quite the standard reached in Sweet Summer Sun in 2013. The single biggest thing ...same as 2013 ...turn it up! Just not loud enough.

Quoteretired_dog QuoteStoneage I don't think people listen to albums the way they used to do anymore. I sure can't remember when I listened to an album in its entirety the last time. You simply grow older, get a job, raise a family, have more money, buy more albums - all factors combined lead to much less time one can spend on any individual album. Oh, and the digital age makes it mor

Quotegeorgelicks Quotehockenheim95 Sorry but number 24 in the first week doesn't sound good to me. In Germany number 5 isn't good either. Copacabana and Atlantic City both wenn number 2 in Germany. We shouldn't confuse our enthusiasm with anything succesfull from a economic point of view. For casual fans a newer show with the big hits is more attractive than this release with unkno

There's always another paycheck. But once the Stones are done, that's it - no money in the world can bring them back. We agree. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed for anyone. Some of my biggest lifetime r

QuoteCrosseyedHeart The show I saw last year in Charlotte NC was #3 on my list of the 13 shows I’ve seen since 1975 (‘75 #1, ‘99 #2). You’re missing out if you don’t go. They are on fire. People I know who went and had never seen them before said it was hands-down the best concert they’d ever been to. Love your enthusiasm. Let's hope for more of the same

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteStonesfan62 It's been widely reported in British newspapers this weekend that thousands of tickets remain unsold for the Rolling Stones shows at Hyde Park on June 25 and July 3. It would appear the Rolling Stones need a reality check and realise that not everybody has deep pockets. I have a good friend and massive Stones fan who lives in Liverpool said the same t

Peter from the UK. I see I have been on here for 18 years! I remember first discovering IORR during the Licks tour. First album was GHS - a birthday present for my 15th. I think I was curious and liked the image! First gigs were 1976 Leicester Granby Halls (was almost crushed next to stage) and later that year Knebworth. Have travelled to see them MSG Rome and Paris.Last time was all the London
