QuoteCristiano Radtke "I get so excited," Kramer says. "I want to keep doing Jimi Hendrix for the rest of time." I wish Kramer would get excited and remix/remaster the Stones' El Mocambo sessions! I mean, C'mon...He was the engineer/producer of those sets and now he's even a part owner of the refurbished club. Big missed opportunity last year on the 50th ann

Quotepmk251 I saw a video, once, and have never been able to find it again. It was Jagger talking about this album and the problem getting it released. He specifically mentioned a performance of YCAGWYW he wanted to release. As I recall Jagger mentioned that Wood did not perform on it saying something like "Thank God" and Wood was standing right there next to him! I remember thinkin

2019 would be the 50th Anniversary of a pretty interesting tour. How great if they could retrace their steps, play some the same venues....except for that last show, of course.

As much as I love the Stones and as great as this show supposedly is...I knew this would happen...I find that I'm not interested in this release. I know it's been 20 years but this isn't 'Vault' stuff...

In what was once a large group of die-hard Stones fans in my circle of acquaintances...I may be the last one who cares if they release any more vault stuff. They definitely need to get it on...

Having turned 60 I pretty much live by Keith's statement..."Any day above ground is a good day"...or something like that. I find myself saying it often and it usually gets a nice laugh and a nod from friends. I think the trick is not to let your mind grow old. Being a Stones fan has really helped in that respect, lol. There is one nice thing about getting older. You don;t give a @#$

Quotejlowe QuoteRockman Mick...who is your best friend?...'uuh, it used to be Keith, but....' Despite all the hissy-fits and all I'd say Mick & Keith are still down to the wire best friends and mercy on anybody who ever steps between them while they're verbally punchin' ... Have to disagree on that one. I doubt that Mick and Keith have visited their respective

Quote24FPS Quotefrankotero How about Voodoo Lounge, we know there's great tracks unreleased. Plus it's the recent line up so no need for excluding past band members and they could even do an autographed edition. Put lots of great pictures, unreleased live audio and video in a special material box. This is what I call a super deluxe edition. Voodoo Lounge had too many duff tracks in it

Quotefrenki09 I don't know... All versions of Dead Flowers that I've heard are pretty similar to the original version by The Stones. Well, not all of them...this one's different.. The Brothers Comatose Dead Flowers

The most haunting scene in any movie is 'the white room', especially when Bowman is lying in the bed as an old man and the monolith appears...

I can't remember if it was Mick or Keith who was asked in an interview at that time, maybe in CREEM magazine: "What do you think the monolith is?" The answer was, "Probably a giant slab of hash." That reply still makes me laugh 50 years later...

QuoteS.T.P QuoteHairball ...Tell that to my sister, brother-in-law, and niece who are casual Stones fans at best - they were blown away! In fact when it was made evident that Taylor wouldn't be part of the Zip Code tour, they and most everyone I know decided to pass. That goes for some of my friends as well. I know several people that passed even when Taylor played with them because h

"Last November, Neil Young tuned 72, but the old Canuck has still got tons of energy. He's released six studio albums in the last three-and-a-half years and now we learn that he's also shot a movie. It's called Paradox and it was directed by actress Daryl Hannah, who's currently dating Young. (Nice one, Neil.)" Good or bad, I'd say that's a working artis

I love the locomotive beat that underpins Ya-ya's from start to finish. Rolling and tumbling...lurching...down the track....with one whistle stop.

QuoteGasLightStreet What's interesting about HTW on GYYYO! is the way that it lurches: it's a boat in a heavy ocean... Love that description! Yawing and swaying into a perfect storm...Street Fighting Man.

I'll concede on HTW being better in the studio version...maybe even JJF...but the rest? I don't know. If I had a choice between any two songs on two separate turntables...I'd pick the live cuts on Ya-Ya's. Take SFM, for example. It takes that awesome song to a whole other level...

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteThePaleRider When I see Steel Wheels in the title of a discussion thread, my first inclination is to skip it... The first thing I think of is that I wanna hear Slipping Away, Terrifying, Almost Hear You Sigh and Continental Drift.. For some reason, I can't get Hearts For Sale out of my head, either. A nice one. I hear you on the songs. It's just that

George Thorogood, Massey Hall, Toronto The last time I saw him was as the opening for the Stones in Buffalo, 1981. His whole set was in the pouring rain. The moment he finished, the sun came out.
