I don't think you can really pinpoint one reason why it took so long for a new studio album to be released, and whose fault that may or may not be. There are so many different factors that come into play. All the planets just happen to have to be just right before a new Rolling Stones album can be forged under clear moonlight.

I've seen the video a few times on the main tv music channel now, it's even in their Top 20. I think young people who see it only recognize the tongue logo and might think the girl and the car are cool,it might help sell some more Tongue shirts.

They are #44 on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs. I don't know why, but Living in a Ghost Town seemed to be doing better on most charts. Maybe because of lockdown times. I wouldn't expect them to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, they haven't charted since the Neptunes remix of Sympathy for the Devil in 2003.

Does anyone know why there's so much more buzz when the Rolling Stones release an album or single compared to when Mick Jagger releases a solo album or single? Everybody wants to hear Angry / Hackney Diamonds but not a lot of people were interested in England Lost or Gotta Get a Grip.
