I would have picked either Whole Wide World or Mess It Up as a first single

Wow this album is so good. I've got tears in my eyes listening. After waiting for so long for this "new album", and Charlie dying, and the lockdown and everything, "early stages", "hitting the wall", basically no hope, they come up with this and it's actually so good, and such a beautiful addition to their already legendary catalogue, amazing.

I'm wondering what Brian would say if he could see his old pals now, 80 years old, still "The Rolling Stones". I think he would laugh his arse off.

Well two days ago I was working at my office and we mostly play Spotify top hits playlists, but I put on Sweet Sounds of Heaven and a young colleage (about 22 years old) walked in and said "you guys are playing good music here!" He didn't know the song but he immediately added it to his Spotify liked songs. And yesterday he said: Nils, can you put on that Rolling Stones song again?

Yes, I picked up that flyer too when I visited Unzipped, wonder if it's worth the while to visit the popup store later on.

I think the Blue & Lonesome one is actually one of my favorite modern Stones album covers. The girls with the Tongue logo shirts need to know this tongue means music, blues music actually.

Quotekeefriffhards QuoteTopi Yeah, I was actually asking Irix that question. It has to end someday, and we're already on borrowed time. Many on this thread have said that we cannot take any future shows/tours for granted when it comes to 80-year olds. And that is true. That said, fingers crossed for that 2024 US tour that seems to be the word around the campfire at the moment. I thin

They really thought everything they recorded was gold at this time I guess.. even if it was just snoring. She's a Rainbow and 2000 Lightyears from Home are good songs.. but there's a lot of crap on this album..

QuoteMelBelli QuoteDandelionPowderman Interresting that Keith and Watt insisted on writing a new ballad from scratch, after Mick played them his suggestions. Nice interview. Thanks for posting, Mel Belli PS: This is a good answer for everyone who repeatedly has stated that Mick wrote all the songs for this album. Yup. Just thinking out loud — not making any definitive claims! — but after

I went this weekend with my father, an original Stones fan from the 60s. Very nice to check it all out. My father normally doesn't like museums, but here he looked at everything and read everything. The models of the stages over the years are also beautiful. A nice piece of music at the end. I looked at the sheets on which Mick had written the lyrics to Miss You and such, and thought: how sp
