Where are we getting the notion that Chuck prevents more setlist variation? The opposite is true. Thats is BS comment on your part. Chuck has stated a few time to add odds and ends to the set list. QuoteDandelionPowderman "From the Led Zeppelin III ambition of "Cross Your Fingers" to the funked-out "Dirty Cold Sun" to the wistful album closer "Kindred Friend," it all would fit even better on Seventies AOR radio than, say, the Rolling Stones' Hackney Diamonds." I’m not so sure that’s a feature rather than a bug.

I’m sure this has been talked about before, so, apologies in advance, but did Ronnie overdub a b-bender part for SMU here?

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteMelBelli Man. I wish I could travel back in time and show Chris and Rich, at the peak of their anti-establishment arrogance, their future aging selves performing a song by Hootie and the Blowfish on Country Music Television. Maybe it would’ve humbled them. Wonder what the late 60s/early 70s Stones would think if they saw themselves touring in 2022? I think they

Just now seeing Ronnie’s setlist for the Racket show. He has Bite My Head Off in the key of E. It’s kind of spongy, but to me, it feels like the song is actually in A. Hmmm…

Preemptive setlist complaints! They could easily fit more than 19 songs in their allotted two-plus hours. But they choose to needlessly extend the length of certain warhorses. Maybe next year, with a new album to feature, will be different!

QuoteTopi QuoteMelBelli I’ll be very surprised if DC or Baltimore doesn’t round out this list. Won't happen, I'm afraid Big acts have been shying away from FedEx Field. I get it. But one of the reasons attendance was soft in 2019 was that the rescheduled show ended up on July 3 - a terrible day for DC area. A lot of people leave town.

I think you kind of answered your own question with that list. Most of those shows were festival events.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Regarding Ronnie's slide playing. Seems like Andrew Watt has worked Ronnie hard. Compare his playing on Rouch Justice and other ABB-tracks with Depending On You and Dreamy Skies. He plays in a different league here. Fabulous playing. Well done! It’s Ronnie’s best album in a long time. I can understand why he was so excited about it.

Quotegeorgelicks Final US sales predictions are in, it looks like the album will sell more in the UK this week... Drake’s For All the Dogs (OVO/Republic) is headed back to #1 after being supplanted in its second week by Bad Bunny’s nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana (Rimas), which will now fall to #3. Meanwhile, Columbia’s blink-182 is set to arrive at #2 with an impressive six-digit bow, and

This guy does amazing work on YouTube. Here is his “Tell Me Straight” cover: Keith is open G and plays Dadd9 and Cadd9 before playing that haunting Bm with a sharp five.

My favorite track on the album, by some distance. Keith’s background vocals. Ronnie’s B-bender guitar licks. And Mick’s melody. Infectious. Some of the lyrics on the album make me cringe. These are simple and predictable, but the way they’re phrased and delivered — they just sit in the pocket so beautifully.

It’s also kind of a rocked up version of Always Suffering. Keith plays almost the exact same solo on both.

Quotebitusa2012 I’m still very interested to know where on the album Keith plays the piano he’s credited with. Anyone have a clue/idea? Or better yet, KNOW? I don’t know if he’s credited, but that’s definitely him on Tell Me Straight. More or less the same Floyd Cramer-esque licks he plays on This Place Is Empty.

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteTopi Who's on backing voc on Mess It Up? A gospel choir is involved according to this review.. "And “Mess It Up,” although edging closer to corny than anything else here, in the end makes good use of both a gospel choir and a disco beat.
