Quotebeachbreak Quoteone of the loudest and greatest concerts I have ever attended. Keith likes to crank those Twins and it appears he doesn't use ear monitors or plugs. I wonder if he has any hearing problems from 60 years of this, it appears he doesn't? It would be shocking if *hasn’t* suffered mild to moderate hearing loss. I think it’s the reason he as tended toward more gnar

QuoteNashvilleBlues Keith, Mick and Steve worked on/came up with “8-9 new pieces,” the week before the interview was recorded, according to Keith. The lone bit of breaking news. Curious whether Steve would get credit, if something ever materializes. He got a co-byline when Keith brought something he’d worked on with Steve to the Stones. But if Steve is “in the band”? Different story, no?

Pretty rough, but looks like they had fun. 999 is a tough one — there’s no real separation between the parts, no chorus or bridge. And he couldn’t get the odd phrasing of the verses. Easy to get lost. Oh well! BTMMR sounded fine.

I always thought it was “Doesn’t matter, honey” rather than “Doesn’t matter how many.” Apparently Keith agrees!

I’ve become more or less indifferent to the prospect of a new album at this point. But what I’ve really tired of hearing about is the notion of holding material back to take advantage of Christmas sales - as if major artists don’t release new albums the other 11 months of the year. Or that the Stones are in a unique position to cash in on music consumers in the month of December. Enough already.

I’m guessing he’ll want to play something from “Main Offender.” “Hate It When You Leave” is my guess. That, plus one Stones.

There was a brief clip of them recording IGW in the studio (something that aired on VH1 or MTV), and Keith was playing standard.

QuoteWhale QuoteKeithNacho Quotedoitywoik QuoteFour Stone Walls What a Fantastic track! Yeah, the riff was nicked from one of the best (Richie Blackmore, SOTW) ... Some fiery playing indeed but unfortunately the song consists just of the riff and nothing else. SOTW???? I was as surprised about this as I was hearing it's chuck on drums. The source is chuck again? I get the resemblance

QuoteMathijs The versions are from DW sessions in 1985. I always thought it is Ron Wood on drums, it really is his style. I have no idea about how Chuck Leavell sounds on drums. Mathijs I would not have guessed it, either. The only reason I know is because he told me!

QuoteMelBelli I don’t think the version cut with Mick on vocals is from DW, so probably not Jordan. Sounds to me like it could be from Voodoo Lounge. Man, I don’t know. I listened again. There are layers on there that are definitively DW. In any case, I still think the second version is Charlie.
