It's going to be an interesting season in New England. No functioning TE, no deep threat, running back by committee...and what version of Cam Newton do we get? We lost a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball due to free agency and COVID opt-outs so the challenge will be two-fold: finding a way to put points on the board while keeping the games close. This team cannot afford any

It's a take on 'Fancyman Blues'...one of my all-time favorite Stones' tracks. And I just happen to LOVE the Blues too.

'Hilarious'? What...the fact that I happen to like the 'Some Girls' re-issue? While it may have been a 'bust', that means absolutely nothing to me; I couldn't care less if it was a commercial success or not. It all boils down to personal tastes and preferences.

Sorry...'Criss Cross' just doesn't do it for me so I cannot share in the enthusiasm of those who feel otherwise. Not all that excited about the 'Goats Head Soup' re-issue either. The expanded 'Some Girls' edition, however, was a completely different story: a lot great songs that finally got the treatment they deserved. Of course, I reserve the right to chang

Strongly agree with those who clamor for the Ya-Yas combination; been so long since Keith's guitars had that signature 'buzz'. And while we're at it, can we bring back Bill Wyman and his bass? Man, I sure do miss his sound.

Thank you Gazza! As you stated, this is truly a remarkable feat. Never, in my wildest dreams, did I ever expect to see Dylan pull off, once again, what he did in 1997 when he delivered 'Time Out of Mind', showing the world that he still 'had it 'in spades'. And then, just to remind us, he followed up with 'Love and Theft' in 2001. I had read the positive a

In an age when terms like 'icon' are recklessly bestowed upon the undeserving, Little Richard is unjustifiably entitled to wear that crown. A sad day indeed, for it represents the passing of another individual for whom I feel a deep connection. When everyone else was fallinq all over Elvis, It was Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and Bo Diddley who grabbed and shook me by the shoulders.

Outstanding effort! Dylan's at the top of his game with this one and so is the band. Razor-sharp lyrics over a catchy, plodding beat with some very tasteful guitar breaks thrown in for good measure. Bob's in good voice, the track is well recorded, and has a bit of a Stones' feel to it. I feel like I've hit the trifecta! Well done Bob. Absolutely love it!

Check out the slide on "Mean Town Blues" Also one of my favorite albums when it came out...yet the only one of his that I owned. While Johnny is highly regarded in many circles, he just didn't grab me like SRV did.

Okay...so I gave LIAGT a few more listens but still feel it's just an okay sort of song. As a result, I'll stick to my initial assessment that it wouldn't have garnered the attention it's been receiving had it not been for the timely release and topical lyrical content. Yes, the band appears to be in fit form and Mick's vocal delivery is as good as ever...despite the

Sorry...didn't 'grab' or do much for me at all; not something I would be inclined to listen to more than once or twice. Given the current circumstances, I can see where it may become an 'anthem' of sorts but I look at it this way: had this song been included on a new album, I'd most likely skip over it on a regular basis. Has more of a Mick Jagger solo feel than the

I certainly wasn't expecting any 'vintage' performance by any means but, overall, I thought it came off satisfactorily. Mick was in fine voice and committed to the effort, as was Ronne...and what can you say about Charlie? Nice to see that playful side that he hides so well emerge from the shadows. As far as Keith is concerned, it only reaffirmed how I've felt for quite a f

Hey Testify! A good companion piece to the 'Slide On Live' CD is Ronnie's 'Live and Eclectic' release on the Burning Airlines/NMC label. It's comprised of ten tracks performed at Electric Ladyland Studios for a radio broadcast as well three live tracks from the tour. Although the CD credits say those tracks were recorded in Austin, TX, I've seen documentation

I saw Ronnie at the old Bacchanal in San Diego when he was touring behind 'Slide On This'. Second row from the slightly raised stage, directly in front of keybordist Ian McLagen. It was an amazing show...and the loudest, given the confined venue; my ears were ringing for three days. Ronnie's setlist was top-notch and covered all the bases: the new album, the Faces, and the Stone

Until official details are released...assuming that someone, somewhere, eventually speaks...all that's left is pure speculation. I'm no doctor...and I don't play one on TV...but there are many possible scenarios that may have led to the postponement: a viral infection, an irregular heartbeat, low blood count, muscle strain/tear, etc. Who knows? But based upon the info that's b

Wow...this is something really special. First of all, Buddy's in fine voice here with no hint whatsoever of giving away his age. Add in some tasteful blues licks from Keith, unleash Jeff Beck's nonpareil virtuosity...and it all adds up to one of the more dynamic blues tracks I've heard in quite some time. Gold rings on them all!
