Andy Gibb? Have we no shame? Actually I liked the theme from S.W.A.T. and as a kid bought a 45 of "Convoy." I know, kill me now.

I'm no apologist for Neil Sedaka, but he did have a critical role in the early days (pre-British Invasion). Sedaka and his partner Howard Greenfield were some of the original creators of the Brill Building Sound. That's nontrivial, you have to admit. More specifically, in the late fifties and early sixties they were the first to sign with Don Kirshner and Al Nevins at Aldon Music.

Okay, but seriously, this has gone far enough. Now we even had posters saying stuff like: CreedenceLives Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > J-Lo supercharged her > career by playing Selena, maybe one of these > virtuosos would go on tour in the Karen Carpenter > slot and just blow the arena roofs off !! I'm getting a headache with all this Coldplay talk. I think Jackie Mason put it best when he said, "who gives a rat's ass?"

Here's how I break it down: Charlie's the engine Keith's the fuel (groove) Mick's the spark. To get anywhere they all need to work together, not as individual components. Hence, solos ain't top of anyone's list.

shedooby, I pretty much agree with you. If the alternative is that the Stones don't tour, then I'll take the current setlist or a variant thereof. At the same time, looking back just as recently as 1997-99 there were some more interesting and challenging setlists compared to this tour so far. I hope Toronto introduces some new material.

Okay I think I have a solution for both parties: Keith can do a long intro (song length) to Salt of the Earth, and then he can sing the first verse, like on the album. Or he can do a coupla songs first and then do SOTE.

Stones89, I'll be in A3. My wife's first Stones concert. Gazza, Rocco loves Jenna? Okay then. I googled it, I'm not sure I see a match, dude. I'd suggest that Tarantino coulda used some Stones in Jackie Brown.

Here's where it's not subjective: ticket sales and a solid fan base. People buy their damn tix at 450 a pop! If that ain't greatest, it's pretty damn great, if not simply grand (speaking from MJ's accountant's pov). So, the question arises: how does one measure greatness?
