I'm wondering if you'd trade in your tickets for this current tour if you had the option to see ABB live and complete (in whatever order the songs could be played, not necessarily as they are on the disc/ album)? Any takers? Remember, that means no "rarities" or favorites from the vaults.

It's #1 on Germany's, Canada's Italy's, Spain's Sweden's and the Netherland's iTunes, and #2 in France's, the UK's and US's iTunes, . . . and #5 in Japan. Haven't checked the other iTune sites.

Anyone heard this Tim Reis record of jazz versions of Stones tunes? I heard his HTW on PRX.org and it has everyone playing on it ('cept Mick).

I said 12X5 but I actually remember being given a couple of 8tracks in grade 7 or 8 that was a hits compilation on two 8 tracks, Perhaps it was Through the Past Darkly, I can't remember, but I do remember how frustrating it was that a couple of the tracks were actually split in two as the tape moved from track 3 to track 4. Drove me nuts to hear the songs broken up. Who was the idiot that

Don't bash Neil. Greendale was great. I saw/ heard him perform it solo & acoustic and he was amazing. Try listening to the acoustic version of Bandit, outstanding. From the same guy that did Ohio, Cinnamon Girl, and Cowgirl in the Sand, etc. He doesn't deserved to be bashed. I think a key difference between the Stones and the other artists mentioned is that the Stones go with

Rankoutsider, If I boil your original question down it's something like: were the Stones influenced by SP in making TSMR, I think the short answer is yes. The album art and themes of the album are clearly related, even if these things were part of the era's larger zeitgeist. SP did get realeased first, and the Stones could not help but be aware of it and could have changed any part

Some Girls 9 of 10 tracks (Lies is the weakest track of 10 great tracks, and Lies isn't even a bad track). This is the Stones in one of their most interesting and challenging reinventions. Emotional Rescue 8 of 10 tracks (ER is a weak track so is Summer Romance, All About You is a standout) Tattoo You 11 of 11 tracks (great follow-up to ER which was a weak follow-up to SG, thank god for

Regardless of the art, it's either growing or it's diminishing; I'd prefer it to grow. Hell, EoMS is still growing on me. Imagine that.

For my money and ears: Tumbling Dice and Happy. Two seconds in and everybody knows what time it is. Brilliant. Then to the outside the Stones questions: Get Back, the opening riff, and a dozen John Fogerty Numbers. Bad Moon Rising, anyone? And the beat goes on.

artur, Connection's on BTB as well. "Feature" is a loaded term. I prefer to use Salt of the Earth for Richards vocal entry, just because he kicks it off.

retired_dog nails it with his JJF observation. Nice post. JJF is one of about a half dozen canonized songs that don't have to be on the list for every show. You could swap our two of them everynight and introduce some less familiar live material. Within 12 shows it wouldn't even be an issue, it'd be the way to see the Stones.

Yeah, no one. I get that. Completely. But if I had to venture one guess (like the thread asked) . . . x-pensive winos. Other than that particular guess? No one.

Most was 450 at the Tower in 2002. Least was 50 at the Arragon in 2002 . . . which explains my "most" answer. Anyone who saw the smaller shows from Licks really got to see something amazing. Hand of Fate and Dance Pt 1, Bono played on IORR, quite the experience. There's not good way of describing the club shows. It was like seeing a 747 in your neighbor's garage.
