I agree about these times being a bonus, let's say an exclamation point, for us fans and probably for the band themselves... More icing on the cake of the greatest career a Rock band has ever put together! I will say that I was hoping for more gigs this Fall in the US, thinking the recent 15-show runs since 2013 would be the template for another leg... But with BV saying it's not t

I've never seen The Stones in an intimate setting... But that doesn't mean that having a great seat or view in a bigger venue won't be intimate when they bring it in your face! I make it a point at any gig where I'm down front or in a good spot to do at least one slow 360 to take in the full environment... Truly a spectacle with The Stones, whether you're wading thro

Fantastic stuff!! Hara is where I learned how to Rock!! If you weren't fighting or puking, you were good to go... Heard some crazy stories from my friends over the years, and I have several of my own!! I'm sure everyone goin' to shows in those days saw the same craziness... Every Metal and Rock act came through there back in the day, and my first gig ever was The Mighty

I'm thinkin' that with Havana Moon in theaters on 23rd September, presumably including the US, that we won't see a tour start prior to that. Seems like they'd be competing with themselves between theater tix and concert tix, although the price point is slightly different That would leave room for possibly 2-3 shows at most before Indio... I wouldn't think they'd

There's really only four opinions that matter, and those four have 3 shows lined up in the US for this Fall... Beyond that, they'll do whatever they decide to do. I'm up for it all!!

We've got Indio and Vegas, so where else do we see The Stones this year? My wishes/guesses... in no particular order Seattle/Vancouver Sacramento LA Forum Edmonton Denver Chicago Cleveland/Louisville Houston/San Antonio Miami Washington DC Philadelphia Toronto Boston MSG NYC Cover territory not hit since 05-06, and the big markets from 2013 also. Some guesses are more

Just received my hardcover edition of the book, and it's great! Can't help but think of all that info combined with all the other great books about The Stones I've collected... The massive impact on music, art and the touring business, not to mention the global social presence they've projected for decades... I can see I'll hate myself if I don't arrange my fi

I'm guessing the only places that aren't possibilities are most, if not all, of the cities that got gigs last summer... You know, the "fly-over" cities... My backyard! I can see a repeat of many of the major markets they played in 2013, or a mix of those and maybe some cities they haven't played since 2006 or before, like Houston, Denver, Seattle/Vancouver or Miami.

Perhaps a little teaser paragraph from BV would mellow the masses... Or an encouraging sentence... Any glimmer of hope! I know everything I'm doing this Summer and Fall is with an eye on September/October/November to coincide with Rolling Stones tour dates. I just wanna make some concrete plans! High hopes for Seattle/Vancouver/Portland, as my best bud and his wife are in Puyallup,

Nashville really has a helluva scene down there, doesn't it? Last year with The Stones right on the heels of the CMA awards, I had a feeling there'd be something in the air. Then the tribute for Bobby Keys at Mercy Lounge ended up being a pretty historic event, plus Paisley ripped it up and brought out some serious talent during his set... Plus Far Away Eyes for the first time for

No Security was really a great tour in so many ways... Indoors for the first time in quite a while, and a phenomenal selection of songs as the tour progressed. They were in top form. Saw 6 gigs, but the pinnacle of my career was at The Igloo in Pittsburgh, 4th row dead in front of Keith. Absolute heaven! The intro video, then The Man struts forth and rips into JJF. Pure Rock Bliss! The s

I consider myself very lucky to have scored seats for Gilmour in Chicago on 8th April... I'd been waiting patiently for 10 years(!) since his last US shows to try and see him solo. I'd seen The Floyd several times in '87 and '94, but his influence on me had grown even more since then. I'm not one to keep my cell airborne during a gig, but found myself snapping a shot

As far as an audition for Adler, you've gotta figure they all knew he could deliver the goods, at least for those two numbers... Otherwise they wouldn't have turned over the sticks to him at all. The trick may be that a second leg, if there's talks for one, may have a different lineup... I'm sure FF has other irons in the fire, seems most of those LA rockers have multiple

It was a great show last night... Big surprise to see Adler join them onstage, and he was all smiles the whole time. Come out for the final bow, too. Surprising to see the size of the crowd. I assume they moved down folks from the upper deck, or did they not even sell those? I had a bud buy our seats so I never really checked TM to see where availability was... All business as far as a ti

I'm lookin' forward to the show Wednesday at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. It'll be my first at one of the new places in Cincinnati... McCartney has played at Great American Ballpark, but I couldn't make that one. This is only the second Rock show they've had at either place, but they've had country acts and Beyoncé down there... The opening act Tyler Bryan

How many of us have converted normal music fans along the way? I've really enjoyed having friends come along to see The Stones, and afterwards they'll go on and on about how great it was... Then I reiterate to them that I told them it wasn't their Smashing Pumpkins or whatever their fave was at the time... I have folks right now telling me they wanna come along this Fall, bu

Checked Wiki and it says Springsteen did 10 shows at Giants Stadium in 2003, but there were 7 gigs initially and then 3 more later in the tour... Count the 3 shows he did at Shea Stadium in Queens later, and that's an impressive run through NY/NJ. And that's not counting the arena shows he did in the area on that tour.

I've been looking on stufish.com to see if there's any info regarding a new stage/lighting set-up but haven't found anything... These guys are the world leaders in big Rock productions, their site is a great look at some of the biggest tours and shows travelled today. Interesting when you look at the 14 On Fire info, it says the outdoor set-up will transfer indoors for 2015...

The arena set-up used in 2013 was a quick 1-day load-in and load-out... The buildings fill nearly all their dates in the Fall/Winter, especially with NHL and NBA tenants scheduling. This is why the 2013 opener at Staples Center was a tentative date when put on-sale initially... Dates were blocked off for playoff games in both leagues, with The Stones having 3rd or 4th choice since there are th

Vegas is always higher-priced than most other cities on a tour. I was at MGM #2 back in '94, upstairs for $200 a pop face value, but those shows were the only indoor gigs for Voodoo Lounge in NA... Amputated Cobra and all!! The outdoor shows were runnin' about $50 that year, if I remember correctly. Hopefully Desert Trip hasn't set a bad precedent, one where The Boys woul

They've talked about "cranking up the machine", or at least Keith has, and to put a production like theirs on the road takes many folks and serious lead times to coordinate. I have to believe they'll do more than the 3 shows already announced. The question is how much lead time do we as fans get to throw our travel arrangements together? Hahaha! Sooner the better for me,

I was at that gig at Rich Stadium in October '97. Great weather and paired it with the Sabres' home opener for a 2-night binge in Western NY... I believe the official attendance in Billboard was shown as 30,000 or so. My bud and I had great seats, and only the lower bowl was opened and sold. When we reached our seats on Keith's side, I could see a guy down in the first rows b

Do The Stones line up indoor or outdoor shows for this Fall in North America? As it stands, they've shown us dates for both, but with no real suitable outdoor venue in Las Vegas, it seems T-Mobile Arena is the logical choice... The September/October timeframe lends itself to many outdoor choices, and the success of last Summer's Zip Code shows could prove to be the blueprint used ag

My first Stones show was Steel Wheels in Cincinnati in '89. Since then, I've done 34 more in 3 countries on 2 continents... Last Summer I took my 12- and 13-year old daughters to their first-ever show, on the field at Ohio Stadium in Columbus... Never thought I'd get the chance to show them what The Stones are all about, and feel very lucky to have done so!! Now just hoping

This is my first post on IORR in many years, so I'd like to send out a Thanx to BV for giving us all a forum to devour all things Rolling Stones! Let's remember the Wow! factor that they always seem to provide once the final details roll in regarding a tour... Seems few expected a full-on outdoor run in NA last summer, which ended up a success any way you look at it. The trend ha
