QuoteOhYesMeAgain Of course the question remains: why start unfurling banners so early if the tour isn't likely to start until the end of April? Maybe more banners will start to appear because the announcement will be soon so that fans or friends of fans can start to purchase expensive concert tickets as Christmas presents now for shows to take place in the Spring? Children may be willing to

Quotebye bye johnny QuoteTKinOH All Stones fans, get in your vehicles and do a recon on every major stadium in North America... we will find another banner when there's no home game and they have the time to hang it!! Broncos are playing the Texans today in Denver. I saw that after my overly-excited post... But, they won't hang one when 75,000 folks are walkin' in for a gam

Take a deep breath, folks... They're not playing Broncos Stadium at Mile High until next Spring at the earliest... Mother Nature wouldn't be permissive! It is early for potential tour hype prior to a date there, but I love the Tongue showing up unannounced anywhere like this. Remember the electronic billboards that popped up in the US in 2015 before the Zip Code announcement

Speaking of the Southland... I keep wondering if The Stones could come back in Fall 2020 to break in the new joint the LA Rams are building in Inglewood? Pair that with the new Raiders' stadium in Vegas, which is opening at the same time for the NFL season... Makes me curious whether they would forego LA next year, like they did on Zip Code 2015, to make a return in 2020 to play in In

I do believe Pink Floyd started the monumental Division Bell tour in March '94, and followed a South to West trajectory, so there is a precedent for stadium gigs in the US at that time of the year... Plenty of new venues, and places The Stones have never "christened", both arenas and stadiums, for them to choose from in North America. I feel like they'll do outdoor shows

MSG owns the LA Forum... I could see a run of shows at both buildings. ' Got shut out of a Kings game during the lockout in '94, when I went out to see The Stones at the Rose Bowl, so me and my bud went to the Vegas MGM #2 show instead!! So, shows at The Forum would be coming full circle for me, since I never have seen an event there... and my same friend lives in Inglewood now,

Timing is everything... The brand new Chase Center in SF opens next August/September... if they're doing indoor shows in the late Summer, I would think they would be a good bet to play some of the first shows in there. Can't come soon enough for me!

I sense folks who casually listen to music don't take The Stones seriously... they've heard so many clichés and old-fart jokes that they remember only that... I feel like the reason for that is they have been around for so long, and we are thankful, that people take them for granted... They've been around for the majority, or literally, all of a person's life at this poin

A woman I work with just caught Crossfire Hurricane steaming somewhere and started talking about it with me. She knows I am a major fan, but kept reciting bits and pieces, and I was like "I know, I know..." I felt bad not hearing anything shocking or new from her, but it was cool that she was enthused for a few minutes! I have a few friends who've seen The Stones with me i

I make offers to friends to come along, then let them decide on their own... that way the undertow catches them on their own terms!! Took a work buddy back in '97 at Ohio Stadium, there were 9 of us total in the group. He was a Deadhead from days gone by, and into Dave Matthews as well, so he knew the fanatic's routine. He was blown away! Got my Toronto '98 tix from his in

I've tried to grab as many of the original-release Stones remixes over the years as I could find, seemingly starting with the Disco versions of Miss You... Someone here on IORR may know better, but that's the earliest for me that comes to mind. I'd check out the long version of Too Much Blood, it really gives the album cut lots of meat, with Mick throwin' in some crude ad-

Lucky to have seen my first VL show in Indianapolis early in the tour, and heard Can't Get Next to You for the first time ever that night... It blew me away! QuoteRollingFreak His first album, as well as a smattering of ones after, are great. Even fantastic. He lost it pretty quickly but had a the classic run many had in the 70s of like 5 pretty good album and then a live album thats basically the best of those. Ted was no exception. As for today, I couldn't really care less about his politics. Sure he's a gun toting loon but I pay him to

Saw REM a couple of times back in the day... Good bud of mine played guitar in a band, and was a big fan of Peter Buck. He started writing him letters with questions on chords and covering REM's tunes, and Peter actually corresponded with him for a period. Very, very cool!

Obviously, there is an incredible group of folks here on IORR! Gotta be brilliant enough to make the money to finance the world travels described here, and street-smart enough to make it happen!! I tell my friends I work to pay for my "career", which is following The Stones as often as possible, as well as other favorite bands of mine... I'm proud to be a part of it all, a
