Received #1452/2600 today... 'bout herniated myself pickin' it up off the front step! Hahaha! I'm lucky I can take the time to sit for an hour or two and browse through an epic volume like this one... A great book that takes you back to '69, and I'm not 4 years old for this one! Some day in Cali I'll make that pilgrimage through the Altamont Pass, and ta

Quotebv The tour in Europe this summer gave us some of their best shows. Just read the reports. They toured North America in 2013 and 2015, with a few bonus shows in 2012 and 2016. When they tour North America next year it will be for the first tour in four - 4 - years. I would advice any Stones fans in the area to spend a day and go see them. No Stopping, they say, but we don't know where t

Quotebye bye johnny Van Halen and shows seems mutually exclusive. Their own website hasn't been updated since 2015. I follow Van Halen News Desk. Anything current that happens is on there, and lotsa good flashbacks for the history books! My first stop daily is IORR, then off to vhnd.com.

QuoteShawn20 I was very lucky - I saw Van Halen open for the Stones in New Orleans and Orlando. Great, great shows. I am not worthy... Be proud, be very proud!

If I had a time machine... I'd go back to this gig and the shows in Orlando on 24/25 October '81 and see my two favorites on the same stage in their prime! The Stones and VH! Worked with a woman 30 years ago who was at one of the Orlando shows. I'm sure I just stared at her in awe when she told me she was in attendance. That shot on the back cover of Diver Down is a clas

Maybe he just wants to be as comfortable as possible when he's on the road, like so many of us do... Perhaps the suit is for "home" or "business" functions, as in a limited time. Cool cat in every way, Charlie is the man!

BV, as always, Thank You for all the efforts you give on our behalf, the fans here on IORR who know to listen closely when words of wisdom are offered! This band has always been something special, and in 2018 and beyond, they still are... I look forward to whatever comes next for The Stones, and a return to the US would be great and much more practical for me. But, after such an incredible

I had watched this interview years ago, and also thought it was the most in-depth and wide-ranging I had ever seen of Mick. I look forward to checking it out again, Thanx for posting!

We lose sight of the fact that The Stones are much more patient than we could ever be as their fans! They obviously have a broader, long-range approach, towards shows and touring especially, than any of us are privy to know about. That's why I have confidence that we will see more shows, especially when BV is gracious enough to clue us in that the work is already underway for a possi

I don't fly a lot, lately once or twice a year, but you get better at the routine of it all... not to say I'm not nervous, especially when it gets bumpy! I try and do the non-stop thing, one flight, and then I'm where I wanna be... it helps me think of the fun gettin' started when I land! You can see those folks in the terminal who fly regularly, be it for work or what

Just checked stufish.com, but it didn't mention the stage being adaptable to arena sizes... I didn't catch that info before if it was on IORR... I must be slippin'!! If they go indoors, we will see if they would push the pricing structure to Vegas 2016 levels. I can't see most cities being ready to pay those prices, but I'm not a doubter when it comes to ticket sale

I cheated leaving Indianapolis in 2015 during Satisfaction... I was parked close and didn't wanna get stuck so I bolted when the song started and was on 465 within a few minutes! I soaked in the pyro for the other 6 gigs I saw on Zip Code, though.

Is it sad that I've become complacent to the pyro? I really noticed the small display in Coventry because it was small... guess I'm spoiled here in the US with the outdoor displays at the stadium gigs.

I remember minimal sparklers from the seating areas behind the stage in Coventry. They were much more extensive in Manchester, yet I can't remember if they were launched from inside the seating bowl or from the outside... I'm sure the folks here can help clarify...

I still believe there will be more shows, probably in 2019... The stage set-up on No Filter debuted in 2017, and it would showcase as all-new anywhere but Europe... a big expense for 2 legs of 25-30 shows total. I can see major markets like New York, LA and London serving as locations for a "residency" approach, as we see many artists doing in Vegas these days, albeit on a much s

One other small point... The "seat number" showing for the tickets ordered on my AXS page were obviously just a quantity-count since they were essentially GA tickets, but the numbers on my account page were not matched on the tickets when I picked each order up at the venue box office. No real problem with that, as I suspected that would be the case when I hopefully/finally got my

I had all my info with me for shows in Coventry and Manchester... Only informed by AXS that I was to pick up the ticket for Manchester at the box office rather than by mail, as was the original transaction. I had no notification whatsoever regarding Coventry, and my tickets were waiting for me at the box office, with countless others in the AXS envelopes... they had mine pulled when I told t

Only really knew Bittersweet Symphony from The Verve over here in the US, but he put on a good show in Manchester... always nice to see the connection between an act and their local crowd. I first noticed the guitarist with the dreads as I stopped to wait along the wall oppos

Makes sense to me!! As a Yank, with a 15-yr old daughter who has somehow taken a fancy to Chelsea, I have no idea if they'd use them or not if the demand was there for a show... I was just thrilled to be there, though, and really loved my 3 days in Manchester... What I saw of the city, I enjoyed it!! My guess would be 45-50000 attended in Manchester, not sure I'd take a gues

At Old Trafford, they didn't sell any of the tix up in the 4400 sections, in Sir Alex's stand. They all had a see-through black scrim material on them, rather than the heavier black tarps I've seen at games and shows here in the US at times... In the back, can't remember the name without checkin' some pictures(, they had a line about 2/3 of the way up where there was
