With no Stones shows this Fall, I'm hopin' to catch maybe AC/DC, Aerosmith or Maiden in mid-October... planning a trip out West but always love planning it around a gig! I guess we will see if anybody schedules anything, but if PowerTrip does a second weekend 10-13/14/15 in Indio, I've already booked accomodations.

First time seeing Metallica was in Cleveland opening for OzzY in '86 for Master of Puppets... great show! Saw 'em a bunch of times over the years, including 2 on Monsters of Rock '88, and New Years Eve in Pontiac '99/2000, the Y2K scare that folks thought the world's computers would crash at midnight. Caught the show in Cincinnati in 2004 for St. Anger, then went a

I've seen quite a few TV spots for the Crue/Leppard/Alice Cooper gig at Ohio Stadium... mostly during local broadcasts for the NHL Blue Jackets and MLB Reds. I figured it was a "slow-seller"...

Thanks, BV! We all came so close to "the announcement", which has been a very big deal for a Rolling Stones' tour for practically their entire career! Totally understandable why all us fans are interested and speculative about the delay, and what the future holds... With a new album on the horizon, and presumably a tour to coincide with it, this is "old territory",

I consider it my personal Woodstock! Haha Crazy binge those 3 days in T.O. My buddy and I realized "heading to the front" wouldn't happen, so we just found a video board and a PA stack with food and drink nearby, and called it good! Helluva show for $16... still love watching that clip of AC/DC's opening salvo of Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be... epic! Hadn't

Somewhere buried in my collection is the Billboard Boxscore for the 30th July, 2003 gig at Downsview Park in Toronto... aka Sarsstock... Attendance was listed as 489,000 plus if I remember correctly...

There's a big run of North American dates for the Aug-Oct timeframe...and Metallica is on the road then, too... some ballparks and arenas in the mix for GnR.

Quick turnaround after a Luke Combs show on 7-29... The Stones would usually have a run-through on the big stage for an Opening Night, needing more than this window would allow for a show on 8-1 I'd guess... Just (patiently) wondering aloud here, folks... and sending positive vibes for a quick recovery/resolution to the delay. I look forward to new music, and definitely am excit

I've been wondering... With the 14-18 show schedule the band have been using since 2013, where they have at least a week off roughly in the middle of the rehearsal period and the two months of tour dates... maybe 4 months in North America will see a different pace? Perhaps 3 weeks of shows, followed by a week off, as an example. Last year in Europe there were 2 off-weeks, one of which

Looks like the course is a bit north and west but it'll be busy, no doubt... Opening night in 2019 at Soldier I bought a parking pass for the Waldron deck and upon exiting off northbound Lake Shore I was right in there without even stopping at the bottom of the ramp, the law just waved us through... then afterwards right back out, definitely the easiest drive in and out of Chicago for

Any Montreal natives on here? Very interesting to see Stade Olympique on the tour, not sure when the last big gig woulda been in there? Been hoping The Stones would make a return for a show there, so this could be a good sign! I will definitely have this Metallica gig on my radar come 1-20-23 when the single show tickets go on sale... The Big O is on my bucket list... it'd be nice t

I look at it as a "historic" moment... anyone on stage with The Rolling Stones is obviously there by invitation and approval of Mick... I'd guess Keith and Ronnie would let rip with anyone if Mick is good with it! I've not had good luck with my personal tastes in special guests, but having seen Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift perform with The Stones, I will say they both

Baton Rouge, LA and State College, PA have hosted shows, also... The earlier thoughts on Portland, OR ended up mentioning Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR as a possibility... anyone here on IORR know when the last time was that a show was done at Autzen? I know The Grateful Dead and some others have played there back in the '80s, but not sure when the last gig was? Just a curiosity... I

Killer intro from Mr. Slick on Golden Years... I love The Stones but consider myself very lucky to have seen Bowie 3 times. His '95 Outside tour with Nine Inch Nails opening was truly one of the most unique shows I've ever seen... Bowie joined NIN near the end of their set... then Bowie's band joined them... then NIN all moved off with Reznor staying with Bowie and band...

I'm wondering if they could "piggyback" some dates with other artists, as done last year with a few Crue/Def Leppard and Green Day stadium dates, and also Billy Joel/Metallica in Vegas last February also... George Strait just dropped a half dozen stadium dates, too, ranging from May to August. With summer in NA officially starting around June 22nd, in theory The Stones could

Really depends on whether they go for "major markets" as indicated, or another run of dates to hit spots not visited for a given time. Major markets for The Stones, in my mind, maybe 2 shows each: NY/NJ Chicago LA Close seconds for Stones tours: Boston Philadelphia Miami SF/Oakland Dallas Toronto Some sentimental logic?: San Diego, new snapdragonstadium.com, make-up
