While DLR was never a great singer live he was good on the albums and one hell of a front man in his prime. In '77-'78 when the 1st VH album came out in was a game changer.

I love Mick but listen to Tumblin Dice from '72 or even the live in Texas version from '78 then listen to any live version from the 2000's. Big change in both pitch and delivery but still great just different to me.

Angie is fantastic. Beggars Banquet and Exile have some pretty nice acoustic playing on them as well. I have always thought that Keith played great acoustically. Difficulty and or impressive skill can be inspiring but to me aren't what makes a song great. Tone, production, melody and feel do that.

I will have to take a close listen to the London show but for me the Brussels version of Rambler is about as close to perfection as you can get.

What the hell. People talking about Botox, clothing, hair ECT... In negative way's. When I 1st joined this site I do not recall so much negativity. Even when a thread has some good posts and feelings going some people are always bringing it down. It's Charlie's memorial, this thread is about Charlie's memorial and I am glad they had a night/moment to celebrate him and his lega

Awesome pic's. The Stones just starting to hit their "live" peak. Ya's Ya's rambler is fantastic but for me nothing touches the Brussels version

I love all these people that know exactly what is going on with Keith. He is freaking 78 years old and has lived one hell of a life and given me at least many years of great music and memories. Obviously his playing is suffering but instead of killing the guy maybe realize that we may be watching the end(of a great career)and appreciate what we have been given.

Wow, for a "Stones fan site" there is just so much negativity from some people. Wow, what a surprise they don't sound like they did 20 years ago or "Keith is horrible". Then don't freaking watch the vid's and do something else other than bitch.

This album is Damm near perfect. Four sticks, misty mountain hop, when the Levee breaks, ECT... Totally deserves all the acclaim it recieves.

I am so glad that the show is documented. I love many live periods of the Stones. '78 to '82 is my favorite "live" period of the band but this Brussels show is to me the best single show on record. The band is just on fire

Keith's history with Steve is well documented and he has also been involved with Mick and Ronnie in the past as well. Maybe just the fact that they are all comfortable and familiar with him was a big part of the decision. Also, before the tour started Charlie approved of him filling in for him. To me he sounds great. He is staying with the feel of the song but interjecting some of his own pe

I have nothing but love for the Stones. They always have and always will be my favorite band but this is a tough one for me. I would not even consider seeing them without Keith and obviously they would never try it without Mick. If Ronnie was not able to perform I could handle it if Mick T stepped in for him. Steve Jordan is a great drummer and does have the ability to find and stay in the pock

Not sure why cross eyed heart gets such a bad rap. Love overdue, heartstopper, amnesia and trouble are all good songs in my opinion. Sure, there are some songs that lag a bit but overall I like it.

The Billy Cox statement is awesome and well versed. There are to many people in the world today just waiting to be outraged, offended and cancel people without even knowing all the facts or the person they are canceling.

Rory was awesome. The new release Check Shirt Wizard is a good live document of his talent and passion for playing. The Stones are definitely my favorite band and I love listening to Rory but especially at that point in their careers it would not have worked. Rory was at a very creative point the Stones, Kieth in general were hit and miss.
