Quotebuttons67 i never understood why concorde was not fuel efficient compared to aircraft which flew lower, and slower in airspace which gave a plane more drag, that is why concorde never became the plane it was designed to be, it was an engineering marvel but a commercial disaster in the long run, should never had been scrapped though. A couple of things to consider when comparing the Concord

Articles/news stories like this make my blood boil. Born and raised in Minnesota, two states away from Michigan. And pretty much the same latitude as Michigan. Not in my memory, have I ever seen a confederate flag flying in public in this part of the USA. Confederate flags don’t exist here. The poor owners of the establishment are being bullied. At this moment, I am in northwestern

That reminds me of something learned years ago in one of my favorite math classes in college. The Birthday Paradox. “In probability theory, the birthday problem or birthday paradox concerns the probability that, in a set of n randomly chosen people, some pair of them will have the same birthday. By the pigeonhole principle, the probability reaches 100% when the number of people reaches 367 (s

Quotestone4ever The number of covid cases is being exaggerated more than ever, in some American States if someone has a couple covid symptoms, that is being called a covid case without a test, if that person has been in contact with 10 to 25 people they are also being deemed positive for covid. Sorry to be so blunt, but your statement is completely inaccurate. A “positive” reported to a state’

QuoteBig Al Yes! I need to watch Better Call Saul. Have you watched El Camino? I did watch El Camino once. I should watch that again! For those not familiar, El Camino is a single episode show to be watched AFTER the Breaking Bad series.

The Sopranos is an excellent series. Breaking Bad is even better. Remember to watch Better Call Saul once you’re finished with BB.

Kenny Chesney has rescheduled his stadium tour in 2021. He is 52 years old by the way. “On Monday, tour organizers announced the rescheduled stadium dates for Chesney’s tour, which was postponed and ultimately pushed into 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.” “As for Minnesota, the tour is scheduled to stop at U.S. Bank Stadium on Saturday, June 5.

Hey Rockman - one thing I really miss is seeing the newspaper articles you posted each day in the Corona thread. In my time zone, USA Central, your posts would appear in the late evening which I imagine was early morning for you. Anyway, I felt I was getting my corona updates 12 hours early compared to the rest of the USA thanks to you. The good old days - before civil unrest. When we were on

QuoteBig Al Look! Concerts will happen once again. Let’s cut-out the wimpy and pessimistic bollocks, yeah? Life goes on, people! Al - I appreciate the encouraging words, and I wish I was “glass half full” in this case. But unfortunately, I am not feeling that positive. Though I am hanging on to that “string” of hope because the official cancellation has not come to fruition. Selfishly, losin

Ticketmaster shows PIT 1 and 2 for $446 for both St Louis and Detroit. No PIT tickets available for Minneapolis. The Minneapolis PITs were not sold out prior to the postponement. I realize this is probably meaningless information. Tonight was supposed to be Minneapolis.....

Does anyone remember a thread from May of 2015 regarding called Private Stones Show Poll? Not trying to wake up a sleeping thread but the idea behind the question was how much IORRians would be willing to pay for a small venue/limited crowd size show. What if touring did stop because of the virus? Maybe the concept of this five year old thread has legs. A private show in a very contro

Quotestickyfingers101 humans = the worst Hard to believe..... The nurse really blew it. What a fool. I did not see a single mask in the video. The bartenders can easily wear masks, but nope. If this is how people handle re-opening across the nation; we’re in trouble.
