Quotekeefmick Is there a way to purchase just the live cd if you already own the standard HD? No, the whole point of the release is that it will keep the album in the charts.

For the Stones certainly, but not for all bands, sorry. You'd be suprised that almost every major label live recording these days is heavily edited and melodyned. Even those from the best p

QuoteBig Al QuoteStonedRambler Then you must hate Ya-Yas and Love You Live. I don't have an opinion on Love You Live, but I do absolutely love Get Yer Ya'Ya's Out! I'm not insane. Yes, I understand there are supposedly a few subtle overdubs on the latter, but it's minimalistic. Today, the Stones perform very differently, and with the somewhat ropey present-day live p

QuoteBig Al Quotepowerage78 Great overdubs. Good job... Keith's are probably done by his guitar tech, though! No, I like my live albums to be as real and genuine as possible. Otherwise, what's the point? Then you must hate Ya-Yas and Love You Live.

QuoteBig Al Also, is it just my ears, or am I hearing some of the original studio guitar in this live version of Angry? Some of Keith’s fills sound like they’re lifted from the record. Only heard the "Dice" lick at 1:31 but they've put it on the wrong channel (Ronnie's side instead of Keith's)

All this complaints that you can't buy the live version separately. Well, that's exactly the point. Keeping the streams and sales of the album up. If it wasn't for that they might not even have released the concert.

QuoteBig Al QuoteStonedRambler QuoteBig Al QuoteGasLightStreet Gen Z will probably end up being closer to Gen X in the long run. I don't think there's a need to spell that out other than they'll be into music and, well, we piss anywhere, man. What? The sober, vegan generation, that is 'Generation Z'? No, I think its the worst generation since records began. I shudder

QuoteEddieByword He's right about the Stones appropriating Hackney for a day - no serious Stones links to Hackney but although he might not like it, probably most in Hackney couldn't care less either way. In any event, it's not illegal. He's definitely talking nonsense about them "not doing anything else but be the Stones" - as we all know, all the Stones, curren

But do other stuff in your life. Singing (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction when you’re pushing 80? Come on.' So,look, he does appreciate the Stones’ greatness. I’m sure he’s a fan and admirer of the

It's actually a bit more complex than just lossy or losless. Depends on the exact encoder which is used (Fraunhofer MP3 or Lame MP3 makes a big difference, also AAC is a step up), the bitrate and other factors.

QuoteBig Al There will undoubtedly be some of their fans from the 60’s who think it silly that they’re still belting-out hits from yesteryear; from their youth that is long gone. From my experience those are usually the people who got fat and grumpy with age and are jealous that Mick is still wiggling his ass at 80.

Guys, this is an album recorded in 2023 and Mick wanted it to sound like it was recorded and mixed in 2023. If you want an album to sound like 2023 then having it a bit brickwalled and compressed is part of its sonic identity. Its another thing if an old recording gets remastered and compressed some decades after it was recorded but this album was meant to sound like that. If you like it or n

It's always fascinating to me how one little moment like that can have an impact that changes the world. Yes, the butterfly effect comes to mind. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if Mick and Keith met today, would they be able to have such an impact on the music industry again? Would they play pop music right next to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran? Or could their magic only work at th
