I saw some really, really great Faces shows in the early 1970's....a couple of the best concerts I have maybe ever seen. It would be interesting to see one npw, but sometimes...you just cant go back. I dont know if they could come close to the energy and madness of those shows. Its one thing with a band like the Stones who have never stopped but slowly evolved, but to take a 35 year break

I have to admit, although I know alot of people dont particuarly care for "Like Rolling Stone", I loved it on the BTB tour and I think it was on the No security as well (i get all the shows mixed up!)....Out of Control, Saint of Me......and the others mentioned are great, as well.

34. Re: Rod
I last saw Rod Stewart with the Faces in 1972 (?) but I have to admit that although that show goes down among the greatest of all time for me, i am thinking of going to see this show...he's aged, I've aged...maybe the experience would be worthwhile.

Saw them in 1973 and it was an unbelievable show. Saw them about 8 yrs ago and it was an incredible disappointment...particuarly when so many of the brilliant songs from the early 70's were lumped together in a medley.

My advice ewould be to not plan too specific an itinerary. I spent 3 years travelling around Europe (and then on to India and Nepal, etc) but the beauty is to have no "set" plans. Just take what each place you visit "gives you' and be open to any suggestions that other people you meet may have. You may end up travelling to stay at someones relatives that you have met and ex

Cant believe I reading about the Rascals (The Youngs Rascals). In my preteen years so long ago they were my absolute favorite band...so many hits in so few years. Soulful music, some just great to listen and dance to and some with a message...they were great. Felix still tours with a band called the Rascals but it is only him. In fact, a few months ago I read they were playing in a Civic Aut

Bono is a self promoter extroidinaire! Who says he "gives away alot of his own money". All I ever here is how everyone else should give away their money....developed countries should "forgive" the 3rd world debt. Well, that "debt" came from someone...YOU AND ME. I may think twice when he announces that 200 million+ dollars is enough for him and that everything he

Lukester...it was an impromptu thing at the end...people just began climbing up on the stage during that song...guess in those days security wasnt as heavy handed as they can be nowadays! Just looked at the back of the stub where i used to write who the warm up bands were...Charlie Daniels Band. I do recall seeing REO Speedwagon opening for someone right around that time...Jethero Tull or Gra

This topic made me pull out a box of old ticket stubs that I saved over the years. April 6, 1975 I saw Lynard Skynard at the Sam Houston Collesium in Houston ($5.00). I remember the show because the last song played was Freebird and as the song progressed (in those days the stages were waist high) people began climbing up on the stage and standing around the band as they played. Toward the end

That would be great to hear. My wife and I were front and to the slight left of stage ...just before the show we had a "meet and greet" with the Stones. Great evening.
