What about Perth & Brisbane?

The Stones obviously aren't too concerned about scalpers as the limit is 10 for Frontier's pre sale - for the Boss it was 4 per transaction.

I rang the Intercontinental in Adelaide this morning and they are charging $740 for the Saturday night of the show so something is definitely cooking!

I'm sure there will be lots of demand in Australia - they haven't been to Perth & Adelaide since 1995 and they are always popular in my hometown of Melbourne. I mean how many more times can they keep "shlapping" it around the USA before getting bored (no offence to our American friends)?? Bruce Springsteen has sold out multiple shows in every city for his Feb/March to

Ah it was funny seeing this article in the Age on the weekend about Keith - I wonder what took the chick so long to come forward?

SW is a very, very good album with some excellent songs on it but a damn pity they left Fancy Man Blues & Wish I'd never met you off it - they should've swapped those 2 for blinded by love and hold to your heart.

Great set list keefriffhard4life - a few additions such as: 19th nervous, Let it Bleed or Live with Me, Gimme Shelter, Rocks Off, Sweet Virginia, Heartbreaker, One hit, plus alternate JJF with Midnight Rambler. Get onto it Mick!

Yep no shortage of great indoor arenas in Oz inc a new venue in Perth (even though I'm in Melb) bring it on....and I'm also wanting a return Tom Petty tour here.

From 1981's Tattoo You on it's a pity The Stones aren't playing on their recent tours from recent more works such as: Steel Wheels, Bridges or ABB, apart from maybe You got me Rocking from VL which gets an airing sometimes. So many other great songs such as Mixed Emotions, Rock & a hard place, saint of me, out of control, Back of my hand and outtakes such as Fancy man blues &a

I've seen both ELH and Rodney Crowell separately - both superb performers, last time I saw Crowell was in 2009 at a winery outside of Melbourne and he had Will Kimbrough on guitar. It would be cool to see them together next time.

I can't see why the Stones need all these 5th rate guests like Stefani & Urban - their legacy is too precious to let these overrated guests partake in classics like Wild Horses! I mean what the hell would Stefani bring to the song???

Former Divinyls singer Chrissy Amphlett has died in New York after a long battle with cancer. Amphlett, 53, lived in New York with her husband, former Divinyls drummer Charley Drayton (and Keith Richards bass player and lately Cold Chisel's drummer). She revealed in 2010 that she had breast cancer and she had also battled multiple sclerosis. I remember in the early 80's that Spri

I love the guy too but Keith's answers are all too familiar these last few years plus he's sounding like a politician - maybe he should come out and say well yes we're getting shitloads of money but we still sell out the shows!! I'm certainly not naïve about him.....

Very dubious claim of Keith's in the Fallon interview that he "doesn't understand the economics of the tour" - I'm dead sure Keith would be aware of how much money they would be getting per show and for the tour.....!!

Having just seen Bruce Springsteen's 3 hour show in Melbourne 2 weeks ago for $182 (top price was $212) I assume using the current pricing in the USA for the Stones if they come to Australia they will charge $600 for the same seats that were $182 for the Boss! I've been a Stones fan since 1969 but could not justify spending 3 times as much for a show that has repetitive songs and runs 2

I went on Sunday night to Bruce's first Melb show which was brilliant - great songs, incredible band sounding a lot more soulful with more brass and percussion. The Stones could learn from Bruce and play less of the same standard songs in much the same order that they play towards the end of their shows. I love the Stones but if this is their swansong tour it would be great to hear a few rar

Not quite right ozziestone - after the stones played in 73 there were noise complaints and hence no outdoor concerts for a few years. Petty/Dylan in 86 was at Kooyong as was Midnight Oil in 85. Dylan played music bowl in '78 - I was there getting very wet, Bowie did play waverley in 83 (was there as well) then Bowie played his glass spider tour at kooyong in the late 80's.

Yes plus Tom Petty/Dylan in 1986, Bowie in about 1989 but by then Rod laver arena was up and running and the genteel folk surrounding Kooyong lived happily ever after!

The 40th anniversary of the Stones Australian tour is coming up in mid February. Unfortunately I was still a bit young to see them at Kooyong (but I have tried to make up for it the last 20 years),I know Rockman went! 3RRR's Off the Record prgogram is looking for stories from anyone who attended the shows and there is also a tribute show at the Corner Hotel on Sunday February featuring Tim R

After watching Mick T playing Midnight Rambler in London and the 2 USA shows on youtube there is no doubt that he should be playing on more songs such as Brown Sugar, Tumbling Dice, Wild Horses & YCAGWYW - the Stones should dump some of the special guests such as Mayer and use Mick more.

On 3RRR (in Melbourne) last Saturday one of the famous (here anyway) Wolfgramm sister had tried out in NYC recently for a spot as Stones backing singer so maybe Lisa is being subbed out.....

Speaking of another ex Stones employee I went to the Chip Monck photo exhibition in Fitzroy last weekend where he had some great backstage photos of the European tour of 1970 and some USA '69 pics. Also on show were gold records & cassette awarded for Sticky Fingers & Exile.

I think it is a myth that it was the Hyatt riot house - according to the Journey through America book by Robert Greenfield they were leaving the Warwick hotel in Denver - for those who live in Denver - (I don't as I'm in Melbourne) but have checked it out some years ago there used to be a car park at the back of the hotel where Keith & Bobby threw the tv out onto. Maybe Keith needs
