This version of "Don't Stop" Moving is by far the more powerful POP and Dance song. Very similar title, better result. (Yes, seriously).

There's a very bad error in the sidebar of page 65 (of the article). It talks about "early 60s" and the Stones rating records on "Old Grey Whistle Test". Wrong. That was "Juke Box Jury". PS - 'Cos she's logged in ... Hello Shoiley.

Quotegrzegorz67 Bjornulf, Very glad to help you with some information about gigs for a change! As you said, Cardiff on July 11th was postponed due to Keith suffering a cut to his finger during the Hampden Park, Glasgow gig on the 9th. During his vocal slot he said to the crowd he thought he'd bust a finger but who gives a sh** and carried on playing as normal. However,it soon went septic

Quotehighgatehillbilly one of the most repulsive things i've ever heard. he's one of the most despicable liars on this planet. i guess people will really do anything for money. deport him back to the penal colony and her to texas. He's actually a US Citizen, so a few laws would need to be refined to permit him to be deported. Also, would you mean 'penal colony' befor

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuotechatoyancyRupert recently bought the National Geographic and fired all the award-winning journalists who warn of climate change and the islands being devoured by rising oceans. This happened? Unbelievable... It took me a few seconds in Google to confirm that this is true. As I have no desire for BV to ban me from the site for <expletive deleted> language, I&

Quoteroller99 the truth behind the tongue Neither Mr Cefalu nor Mr Pasch can really claim to have invented the tongue. As shown here on IORR not that long ago Alan Aldridge did it first in 1969! For the record... when the Aldridge version was shown to a Stones "insider" his reaction was (exact quote) "That's amazing". I wonder what tale Exhibitionism will tell!

QuoteDandelionPowderman It was available on both vinyl, cassette, cd and VHS in Norway. Lost my VHS, but a guy here burned me a dvd some years ago. It was nice seeing this one again I was unaware that the Norwegians had the technology to put video images on vinyl! Impressive.

QuotePecman I still have it... It's a Mick and Bill Wyman (surprising) production. Bill was very involved...I don't know why. Mick was thin as a rail and had a horrible haircut...very much like the Steel Wheels tour. PECMAN Bill was involved for two good reasons. First of all he actually has an interest in what the band have done. Even back then. And still. Second

QuoteMingSubu Not available in my country, but thank you. Odd, as I can see the YouTube upload in Australia. This is exactly the sort of thing that The Rolling Stones should (re-)release onto DVD. It's VERY good. (I recall an insider telling me that some of the band had to be persuaded hard to release it in the first place - it was early days of personal VCRs - and then for a whil

Aretha was (is?) AMAZING. Personally I would have preferred seeing less of Carol King though! Sorry if that's a minority view. More Aretha, less Carol.

Quotethkbeercan Atlantic City 1989, ABKCO & Rolling Stones joint venture 2 DVD set of music videos similar to Beatles "1+". Atlantic City was a PPV and there are definitely good quality copies hanging around. One of the best bits is when Clapton does an ace solo on Red Rooster, and Mick gives him a huge grin as he walks back. It's very good. "1+" is out

A real Imax film is filmed on special cameras (huge), using special film (massive - you need a fork lift truck in the projection room!). The frame rate is also very high. Taken together that's what gives the amazing sensation mentioned by masseywinos. None of it, so far, is new technology, but it pushes the boundaries hard on existing. (There's bound to be a documentary about it on y

Quote24FPS God, why can't we have a Vault Series of that era Stones? Sigh. Agreed. The trick has to be to get Jagger to ring McCartney in about 6 months time and ask him "Hey Paulie, how many bazillion dollars did you make from "1" on DVD?" Then, when he's got over the amount... we may see some action.

Quoteroller99 QuoteHairball I'm not a big celebrity kinda guy, so I don't keep up on that sort of thing. Schmoozing with celebs doesn't do much for me, so definitely being close to Ringo's drums was cooler. Agreed. But at a crowded Genesis Books reception I was once sandwiched between Cynthia Lennon and Peter Blake.

QuoteNaturalust Are 3rd party anti-virus programs even necessary with all the built in Windows protection these days? This is a very good point. I'm of the view that (for all of its other faults) Windows has now got good built in protection. (MSE if you are on W7, rebadged as Defender on W10). That installed and regularly updated is almost all you need. Other products tend to

Quotewhitem8 Yup Mick got sick and they had to cancel the show at Hanging Rock! I was so bummed! We had fantastic seats, and it would have been a fantastic place to see them. As I endlessly and boringly droned on about at the time, the venue is pretty close to where I live, and having The Rolling Stones playing in my backyard (over-exaggeration of course) at what has to be one of the most magic

I have the 'whoop whoop' chorus from "Sympathy For The Devil" as my skype call inbound ringer. But I amplified it - so it comes on LOUD. Not really a heart-attack inducing issue, but a hangover from when I was getting skype calls from my partner while she was away in the UK, and I didn't want to miss them but still wanted to do things around the house.

Also worth noting that the versions originally released on singles in the UK and the USA were different. The USA version fades a little later and there's an extra line sung/spoken by Mick.

35 years. Makes me feel very old, and very sad indeed. A terrible thing to have happened. But... I did actually exchange a small number of words with John, and for that I'm disproportionately grateful. In the summer of 1971 I worked in London, very close to the US Embassy, and very near Oxford St. John & Yoko had just brought out the paperback version of 'Grapefruit&

Quotemailexile67 Paul McCartney filmed the gig That would certainly reconcile the information. Do you know for sure that he did? (Since my earlier posting I've been searching for the quote in a (reputable) book that forms the basis of my comments. Still hunting. Quoteoldrocker A GREAT NIGHT OUT THIS GIG WAS FILMED I HAVE THE SETLIST SOMEWHERE AT HOME Filmed? Really? I gotta check that out. I'm very reliably told that the Stones went to a lot of unusual effort to make sure that the gig wasn't recorded (which seems counter to the filming!) - even checking the usual source... the soundboard guys! It was a gig in memory of Stu and thus wa

Quotefrankotero Kind of spooky to see those pictures of John Lennon. Also didn't know The Beatles were still playing Besame Mucho in late 1963. That was cool to see. I thought that there was something not quite right about the movie. It was obviously in a small club (Cavern type, but NOT the Cavern itself obviously - not an ABC Theatre. If I get time, and don't forget, I'll
