QuoteIrix QuoteCaptainCorella Cover art by Alan Aldridge for an unreleased Rolling Stones album . 'Guitar tiger' artwork for 'The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus' - posted & discussed here many years ago - . First mentioned by georgie48 in 2013 - . Also later on - , , . Thanks for the correction. The timing obviously obliterates my theory.

Crikey - that's 500+ really interesting Lots. (Small number of Stones, more of Beatles, and then masses of other people). This lot is REALLY interesting. Cover art by Alan Aldridge for an unreleased Rolling Stones album . What's really interesting about that is that it puts Aldridge - and by implication his work - into the orbit of The Rolling Stones in 1969. This adds to

QuoteCaptainCorella Well worth relating is that when the six band members (plus ALO) voted on whether or not to release it as a single the voting was: See page 318 of "Stone Alone" by Bill Wyman where the story of the vote is recounted with MJ and KR being the only voters against. He adds Dave Hassinger (recording engineer) to the list of voters.

That does seem so very long ago!! Well worth relating is that when the six band members (plus ALO) voted on whether or not to release it as a single the voting was: Jones, Watts, Wyman, Stewart, Oldham FOR Jagger, Richards - AGAINST (For those that check details, yes, Ian was always a full member of legal entity called The Rolling Stones)

QuoteHappy Jack Some exciting news for Who Fans: I got an email today that the Who Fan Club is starting back up. Part of the package will be a CD or Vinyl of the Oval Show from 1971!!! I was at that Oval Show. The Who were great. The Faces (support) were dire. Was Ronnie still with them at that point? I totally changed my opinion of Ronnie when I watched him (basically) keep the su

QuoteGJV I have bought it and read it. I know a lot of people liked it, but I'm not one of them. If I buy a book about the Rolling Stones I wanna read only about them and not about the writer's own life and how he got to know the Stones and their music. What he writes about the Stones is the same old stuff, what you have read already a 1001 times before. Also the actual text (in h

QuoteMunichhilton QuoteCaptainCorella All this fuss about a 60yr old drummer playing in/with a band that was formed before he was born. 59 years but that’s an accurate point you make… And I'd checked Zak's birth date beforehand and had intended to record it as "almost 60yr old". Very much from memory, Zak was born in a hospital in London that I think was called Princess

QuoteCaptainCorella Can anyone confirm/refute this? Why do I have to patiently explain that we live in exceptional times. The very meaning of "truth" is being challenged. We all need to be careful about what we accept (or reject), even from previously trusted sources. That's shocking, and is a dreadful comment on the times in which we live. But that's what it is
