QuoteDandelionPowderman My Old Lady is an early take on Hang Fire, if memory serves. Don't think so. Early versions of Hang Fire started in nov.-dec. 1977 and jan-feb. 1978 in Paris, Pathe Marconi Studios. My old lady is a lazy bitch is just an opening line.

Remember TALLAHASSEE LASSEE from the DELUXE SOME GIRLS release in 2011 is from these sessions. Maybe the new songtitles surfaced while people were going through the tapes from RCA 1978 searching for candidates for this release in 2011.

Now the back up singers bridge this gap. not only. this year, Keef definitely was pushed up in the vocal mix when he sang for example on RT or LSTNT. great moments What song is RT? I find it quite irritating sometimes to have to think about what song is ment by only using the first letters. I

QuoteDeltics Audience video and soundboard audio mix: Thank You! I watched from Black Limousine to Shine A Light. It's Great! Why not a DVD from the Vaults 1995 with all songs from Paradiso Amsterdam and bonustracks (Black Limousine, Meet Me In The Bottom, Faraway Eyes). Could be a bestseller among STONES-believers

Well, well....everybody! THE KINKS were GREAT!!! For me number three behind The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, but one place before The Who,"The Great 4 of The Britisch invasion". I do understand Dave does not want to do a KINKS reuinon by Ray's Laws. Saw Ray Davis last year in Hyde Park, the day before the second STONES show. Just the wrong place at the wrong time for him or The Ki

QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash QuoteOutOfTime Is this show released as a bootleg with discs and nice coverwork? What's it called? QuoteJumpingKentFlash I seem to be the only one who enjoys Tokyo '95. That said, it should not be the one to be released. For me, the most important gigs to release onto DVD and Bluray are: The '95 club shows. Sheperds Bush Empire '99. Any Licks Tour club show (preferably Roseland Ballroom '02). The Phoenix Club gig '05. L.A. Forum '75. Marquee Club '71.

Quotevarilla I always thought about the irony of one of opening songs in Mick´s first solo album being a Jagger -Richards song... ..... expecialy with the title (It's) Lonely At The Top! Written by Jagger/Richards (but maybe reworked under the name of Brenda for his solo album)

A great stage move which I like a lot is kind of new to me or is it older? It's a sort of "giving gesture", Mick moving forward to the crowd and with his hand or both hands open, like giving something to someone, it comes across great. At least for me. Like the "we are delivering" thought of it or something. Today I include this move in my at home dancing (when no one is

As a musician trying to make a buck I played with whatever band came my way as long as I thought I'd find "SATISFACTION". At the time Focus were enjoying much succe

Reading this thread made think of Focus, a dutch band, which had a certain Drummerboy in the 70's. Had a look at YouTube toay and came across a Danisch TVshow from 75 uploaded by Jan Akkerman (ex-Focus guitarist) himself in january 2014. Not my kind of music as a Rolling Stones believer, but still interesting as a music loving dutchman. Thanks Drummerboy.

One of the holy grails is EL MOCAMBO 1977 ofcourse. I was listening to the El Mocambo (incomplete show as usual) bootleg CD today since a long time... Great songs and so loose. I think a lot of people would complain about Mick's 77 vocals on WORRIED ABOUT YOU if he'd deliver such a performance today. Saying things like he is too old and can't do it anymore, they better stop perf

Last year there was a photgraph of a list of rehearsed songs in 1975. It included Can You Feel The Fire! The Stones did not play it live during the TOTA but did another song from Ronnie's recent solo album at the time: SURE THE ONE YOU NEED, which has Keith on LeadVocal! Interesting indeed... at least I think

This (see below) made me think of a session with Jerry Lee Lewis in august 1993 at Ron Wood's homestudio in Killdare at the end of the VOODOO LOUNGE sessions in Ireland. Jerry Lee was living there at the time. They mostly played a lot of countrysongs together I read somewhere and Jerry took The Stones a sort of as his backingband.... HaHaHa. Would be great to hear, at least for a JLLewis fa

Very interesting comment from Teddy: "Re: The vaults - and hopes for what may be released Posted by: TeddyB1018 () Date: April 2, 2014 02:25 "I've heard some of them. "Just Because" is a really good country-tinged rocker. "When I Call Your Name" is an old style R&B number. The stuff I've heard would probably require new final vocals a la Some Girl

The band with Rory Gallagher was superb. One of my favorite moments is Rod de Ath's drumming Going To My Hometown, so focused and concentrated. This is from the DVD Live In Europe 72 or 74. I'm not in my hometown now but will check this out in tribute later. Respect. RIP.

That Tony Martin is not human, in other words DOPED. Yesterday won after a solo stretching some 150 km and today 90 km as a motorcycle to pilote Kwiatkowski in front. Such "performances" are just too much. I believe every rider is prepared by docters etc., but this man is overdoing it and he is bad promotion for cycling.

VOODOO LOUNGE GOT ME ROCKING AGAIN after the lame Steel Wheels (Check out the raw outtakes bootleg....) release and boring Dirty Work. It was a long time from 1983 UNDER COVER till VOODOO LOUNGE, but we got Talk Is Cheap and Wandering Spirit in 1988 and 1992 to keep THE FAITH.
