Why would they add the additional show if the sales for the one show were not selling well?

QuoteTopi There previously was some talk about the Stones supposedly having insurance in case health authorities pull the plug on a show due to COVID. I saw it as a headline somewhere. Not sure if that was only on a show-by-show basis though. QuoteRick Lindsey-led Prime Insurance Company has insured the upcoming Rolling Stones US tour, providing cover in the event of civil authority shutd

QuoteRokyfan Re the Boston Globe’s investigative journalism: 1. If the stones are in Boston they are rehearsing, not eating chowder or visiting bunker hill 2. They will not rehearse at a stadium for weeks they never do that 3. Who is old friends with anyone in the Eagles?? Not that it makes any difference, but didn’t the Eagles open for the stones in 1975 - maybe Milwaukee?

We have about a month to go before the first show in St. Louis. Unfortunately, with all the recent tour cancellations, the chances of the tour proceeding is dropping fast. So many of these cancellations have been due to various band members and road crew testing positive. This may be unavoidable. I’m still hopeful - but it’s not looking good.

Quotedaspyknows QuoteMingSubu Cool, then you don't have to wear a mask the entire time. Nothing was said about that. Some will obviously refuse because it is their right to try and use a fake vaccination card and skip the mask. To my knowledge nobody has a “right”, with in the USA, to use a fake vaccination card.

Yes, it seems many are suspecting the worst for Charlie. I believe the official announcement stated he was expected to have a full recovery. Concern is understandable. However, let’s remember to keep a positive outlook for Charlie.

QuoteTopi Note the AEG policy so far only applies to the venues they own or operate, not all the shows they promote. I might be wrong, but from what I read, this includes all AEG promoted shows as well as venues which AEG owns. If this is correct the entire Rolling Stones tour is included.

Quoteslewan QuoteTopi Do we want to get to the story where Paris #1 security wouldn't let No Filter Pit ticket/wristband holders into the pit because their tickets/wristbands said "NO" Filter Pit? I have heard that story a couple of times but it always sounded like a urban myth to me No not a Urban Myth. I observed it first hand. It happened to at least one person in front

It’s interesting we haven’t heard anything from the band regarding the Jazz Fest cancellation. Soon they will begin rehearsals for the tour. I would assume, once the rehearsals begin then the tour is definitely on. To be honest, as much as I’m looking forward to the tour, the right thing may be to postpone the tour for the safety of the fans. If they required proof of vaccination along with

QuoteBeast Quoterustytrinket86 QuoteHairball From USA Today: Large outdoor gatherings are safer than large indoor gatherings, but experts still warn that COVID-19 can be transmitted outside, especially in crowds. “The main challenge there is going to be that any attendee won't know everyone else's vaccination status, and we are seeing that delta is much more transmissible than pr

QuoteLady Jayne QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTornAndFried Why do people assume the Stones were contractually obligated to continue this tour without Charlie? Do you really think they would have a contract obliging them to play even if one of their principle members was not able to join for whatever reason? They are doing this tour because they choose to. Because there was a 2014 contract that l

Quotedaspyknows Quotebleedingman One hundred thousand (allegedly vaxxed, masked, or tested) people were packed into the Lollapalooza festival this past weekend. The ensuing weeks should provide a somewhat interesting picture as to where we stand. A friend of mine was there and he said it was crazy. He tried to avoid the crowd and said there were maybe 5% masked and people were packed like sard

QuoteStoneage It is also a lot about knives and guns. And fights. Yes, threatening and throwing knives at various people plus lots of nauseating drug use. If you can get past all that there are many interesting stories as well. I found Keith’s telling of the very early days of the band particularly interesting. Certainly worth a second read.
