I saw this message somewhere on a Dutch site:
2 april 1962 traden The Rolling Stones officieel voor het eerst op in de Marquee Club in Londen. Nu 50 jaar later bestaat de band nog steeds. Om dit 50 jarig feestje te vieren besteed Radio Ideaal 7 april in het Ideaal 60's Cafe,in een Rolling Stones special, 2 uur aandacht aan deze legendarische Rock & Roll Band.

Is the old official fanclub (therollingstonesfanclub.com) now really down? If I click on my link it redirects me to . I didn't check it for a couple of days, but a couple of weeks ago it still worked. Or am I the only one... Forum: Tell Me
With those modern bands now i always have the feeling that they will have succes for a couple of years and then they are gone. Wasn't this feeling with the RS in the beginning of the sixties, lets say from 1962 till 1965? Could anyone imagine that this would last for half a century? Forum: Tell Me
Maybe i just mean the whole entourage around the RS in sixties: screaming girls, chaos whenever the appear in public, etc. And i not only mean RnR-bands but any kind of bands / singing groups. Forum: Tell Me
I was born in 1968 so i haven't experience the born of The Rolling Stones. While i was reading Life i was wandering if the Stones were some kind of a boyband in their time - the sixties. Like maybe Take That in the nineties. (Sorry: i don't mean the musicstyle but just a group of musicians / musicperformers). And now after almost 50 years they still exist. From time to time i took a look for my membershipdetails to see when i purchased my passcode, how long i was a member, etc. It gave me a good feeling; don't ask me why. Now all this is gone..... Forum: Tell Me
As a member of the rolling stones fanclub you could log in to see your (membership-)details. Is it me that i can't find it on the new website? And what if there would be a new announcement of gigs, how could you get your passcode? And what about discussing things with other members in the community-part? Forum: Tell Me
Thanks very much erikjjf and cc. This is the kind of info i'm looking for. I'll go for some books but also timeisonourside.com.
Thanks again. Forum: Tell Me
Hi,
I would like to know if somebody could tell me if there is a website where i can find all information about the Stones-history (from the beginning till now) with also backgrounds about the songs they wrote. Most i found on the internet are some short stories which are not really structured.
Thanks for answering. Forum: Tell Me
Where can i get (a good quality) of the intro of ABB-tour? I just asking this because now, after 2 years, i saw that there are faces in this intro, and i would like to know who these faces are. I only saw this intro at youtube but the quality is not that good. Forum: Tell Me

It was on Dutch television last week. It's a nice movie, but not like top-westernmovies. Ned Kelly and his friends are real criminals imho and i won't get as much sympathy for him as i have for example for Wyatt Earp, Billy the Kid or Doc Holliday. Forum: Tell Me
