Quoteslewan QuoteGazza Went to all three Dublin shows. In the pit each time. Unbelievably, each gig was better than the one before. Astonishingly great - but a bit frustrated at the songs we 'almost' got on night 3! An emotionally draining show in parts but uplifting at the same time. The band are on amazing form. has there been a real pit? how did you get there? on the map it looked

Did you hear a tour announcement? Did you buy tickets for any shows? Did you spend money on travel plans? If the answer to any of the above is 'yes' , you might have a point. I'd wager that most potential ticket buyers outside of those who use internet forums weren't even aware of a pending tour announcement, let alone where the concerts were likely to be. It wo

QuoteProfessorWolf this is not something i can easily answer but without giving it much thought the two that spring immediately to mind are i don't know why and watching the river flow I thought his vocal on that song was pretty much a career low point. Totally over the top. Recorded during that period where he seemed to be oversinging almost everything 'Let It Loose'

Quoterogerriffin Its about Bob McCombs¨? few weeks ago his facebook was hacked... and have no contact with him, Hope he get well soon. It was indeed hacked. And he cant get it back. Even reporting the woman who hacked it and who is now posting under another (possibly fake) name doesnt seem to get anywhere. Yet there are photos of Bob ON the account that she hasnt even bothered to delete, so

A lot of you may know Bob (Mr D) from Florida, who has shared a lot of great music on here and elsewhere over the last few years. He's been having a few health issues in recent times and has asked me to let his friends on here know that he's off to Orlando VA Medical Centre today for surgery to amputate the big toe on his left foot, so he'll be unable to be in touch with a while

Quoteslewan it's really strange: when other band members got Covid the public got informed more or less immediately. And now they are cancelling shows due to 'illness'… (and don't even confirm who's ill) They never confirmed it was a band member either. It could just as easily have been a close family member. It also may not have been anything covid-related. AFAIK th

QuoteSpodlumt They are playing two nights at the Mayo Theatre in Morristown, NJ. Not an arena, but a small theatre. VIP seats down front? $563.00 each. For The Doobie Brothers? Playing a small theatre justifies it far more than it does when its an arena or a stadium I dont get the last bit. Is it inconceivable that a LOT of artists have a fanbase who really like them enough to buy pricey

Quotewupperstein What is the source that one of the group got injured? If people told the world who their sources were its safe to say they'd never get any other info again. It's up to you as to whether you believe it or not. Thanks, mpj2000 for the info. If anything, its reassuring that this suggests the delay isn't for reasons that are alarming.

Regardless of the number of gig attendance (52 is quite a number to be fair), you are one of the most knowledgeable, insightful and dedicated fans of the Stones. Nice of you to say that. 52 isnt bad considering theyve only pl

QuoteCaptain Teague Who is the drummer? He seems to work on the basis of "more is more" but really his style for Rolling Stones songs is "more is less". Anton Fig. Played on the 'She's the Boss' album. He was the drummer on Paul Shaffer's house band on the David Letterman show, which presumably is why he's on this.

I'd like to think so going by the label and the crappy artwork! 'All Along The Watchtower' wasn't played at this show (24/2/86). Its probably from Tacoma 31/7/86 as that show plus the 24th and 25th February shows in Sydney were recorded for a Westwood One radio broadcast in the States. The rest of the songs are probably taken from both Sydney shows.

QuoteSend It To me Was thinking about how the 2012 shows were somehow a decade ago. Not sure how that's possible! Pretty cool that we've had live activity every year since. I don't think many people expected everything to be rolling (abliet, sadly, without Charlie) into 2023. The 2012-2013 shows were, to me, really a step above in terms of performance, set list, venue, show length,

QuoteRisingStone It did happen on the 1978 Some Girls US exclusive tour. On most of the dates, the Stones played 8 out of the 10 songs from the new album, put together in the middle of the 19-song set rather than spread over and mixed up with other old songs. I wonder how each member of the audience reacted to this on site. Anyone who was there? they were selling records in huge numbers in 1

Quoteillyad1960 I have heard that the Passaic NJ 1978 soundboard was stolen by a fan. Wished he had waited until SFM was complete.... he ripped it out of the tape that was running at the mixing desk mid-way through the last song and scarpered out of the theatre, apparently.
