BTW, I thought it worth noting the new Voodoo Lounge LP's I bought are MPO pressed in France.

The 1/2 speed 2 LP Voodoo Lounge I had pre-ordered via Amazon arrived yesterday. This album I somehow never bought on vinyl when it was released and was content with the CD for many years. Having played this through 2 times now I can say it sounds absolutely great. The 180 gram vinyl is very quiet. The 1st LP is flat while there is a mild warp on the 2nd LP but it doesn't affect playback in t

In 1990 I bought The Swingin Pig 3 CD box set boot when I was in Munich at WOM for 79 DM. Those CD's sound very good to my ears today. Hopefully, they get the audio right on this video release. Thanks Gazza for the clarification regarding Salt of the Earth being played at all 3 of the Atlantic City shows as well as at Twickenham 2003. To me SOTE was always a special Mick and Keith vocal a

Oh nooo! This is terrible, sad news. Pretty Things somehow never made it big in the States, but they were a really great band. Phil May was a terrific front man. RIP Phil May

This was a really good concert. Apart from Axl Rose finger nails across chalk board vocals ruining what could have been a fantastic version of Salt Of The Earth, that pay per view show was outstanding. Hopefully, the audio is high quality which would make this release well worth purchasing. BTW wasn't the 89 Atlantic City show the first time the Stones had played Salt of the Earth live? I

Little Richard was a complete original. Yes, a true rock and roll giant. Wonderfully outrageous and charismatic. Another great one sadly gone, but will never be forgotten. RIP Richard Penniman

These were not rehearsals. This was the actual taping of the show. PBS edited this footage for the final production of Center Stage. A full video tape that has a long interview with Keith as well as even more video footage prior to when the band came out to play is around. If anything this TV show shoot was kind of a warm up for the Winos as they were just about to go out on the Main Offender

Great show. Memories coming back. The band was very relaxed and loose. Funny to see ones self in that video 27 years ago. One thing I recall was the volume in there was well cranked up, especially towards the end. Next day ears still ringing. What a special treat to have been there. Thanks for posting that heads up thomashanck!

This looks like the Winos PBS show Center Stage that was filmed/recorded at WTTW studio in Chicago. I was there. What a night that was!

While It was cool to see them play this live in Chicago at the Aragon in 02, this song was and still is just as good as it can be on Black and Blue. It simply soars to another level. I played that album today LOUD and man does that vinyl sound good or what? I played Hand of Fate twice for good measure. Wayne Perkins take a damn bow please. That cat could flat out play! Very underrated album.

Thanks Green Lady. A wonderful documentary and a nice way to start another day in seclusion. What a scene it must have been to be there in its heyday.

Hollies documentary on Amazon Prime was pretty good since worthless talking head type music critics were not involved. Worth watching imo.

QuoteKeessie Remastered version New York City, M.S.G., 27 November, 1969 All tracks were taken from Youtube and converted to wav. Removed a dial tone/hum, a few clicks and the gaps between the tracks. Fixed a missing piece between I'm Free and Midnight Rambler with a patch from an audience recording (first gen transfer). This is simply terrific! Thanks, my ears are ringing from blas

Quotetimbernardis I think it was the Boulder Colorado show on the TOTA '75 tour that Mr. John (what's his legal name anyway?) stayed on stage in a lengthy and unwarranted fashion and wore out his welcome. plexi It was the Ft Collins Hughes Stadium concert on the 75 tour. I was there 20 yards or so back from the stage on the field and Elton did very much appear to over extend his

Sam Cutlers book is a really good source for events that took place at Altamont. Of course Booths book is also excellent. Bmuseed posts and knowledge also offers a first hand account. I knew someone I went to school with that was at Altamont but he was watching and listening from up the hill. He said it was a really great day and only because of what he was hearing coming from the stage did he ha

Quotekeefriff99 I'm sure all you Who fans have seen this footage from Shepperton Studios in 1978, but WOW. I'm just blown away by the crystal-clear video quality and the brilliant performances: Also, this promo video for Who Are You is great...lots of footage of Keith Moon being hilarious: All great stuff. I had a "Who day" Saturday, home alone and armed with

I was able to see the Stones play on both tours. Chicago and Denver in 72 and one of the Essen shows in 73 while I was traveling around Europe. The band was in terrific form for all three concerts musically. The differences were the welcome inclusion of some GHS songs in Europe, while the 72 tour was more focused on the EOMS album. The US concerts I attended were reserved seating where Essen was
