Sounding good on the videos, (and looking good at that distance and resolution)! To paraphrase Keith, "just glad they are here, glad they are anywhere"!

I first saw the band live in 1969 and another 30 times since, including Chicago 2013, missing only the 1975 tour. I'm thrilled they are still playing live and all things considered, ridiculously well. Personally, and this is just my personal opinion, but the worship of Mick Taylor is so overrated. He always sounded like a "guest soloist" to me when he was originally in the band. I&

I predict an all-star video compilation with all of the guests, which won't go down well with the diehards, unless it is just one of a multi-disc box....along the lines of the CDs Sinatra, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett etc. put out late in their careers to appeal to a wider audience. Sinatra's duet CD was the best selling album of his career, even though fans would rather have heard a new &

Quoteduffydawg Quotejackdog Seen the Stones 15 times and the 1st in 78 at Soldier Field. Rate this on C+ with highlight Taj as he was great. The mix the first 3 songs was terrible but they finally got it right. Why MT only plays Midnight Rambler is baffling to me and I don't get it. That was a highlight as well as he terrific. The strangest moment was the last encore where Keith was showboat

People are able to see the Stones, still sounding great in freakin' 2013 and they are disappointed? I can't believe I'm able to see them again, for around the 30th time. Once again I'm traveling to catch them, same as every tour since '89. Be glad they feature M.T. on a song after all these years. This is the Stones' line up (minus BW), that has been in place for alm

Quoteduffydawg Just back....this show was a bore. They stole the money from me. MT on only MR. Its a complete joke. Everything is so canned and tightly coreographed..... Everyone I was with were stunned that MT had only one song prior to encore. NO 3 GUITAR ATTACK. DOES NOT EQUATE TO $600 OF VALUE MUCH LESS $100. You just saw the Stones, still sounding great in freakin' 201

QuoteLSTNT QuoteJumpinJackOLantern QuoteLSTNT Very disappointing if they are down to 21 songs. I was hoping that as the tour progressed the boys would be firing on all cylinders. But with the comments of the last show and now down two songs this does not bode well for Hyde Park. They might be lucky to get a 15 or 16 song set list. I'm sure everyone will say what a great show it was but the b

Right, the Stones are nothing without M.T., compared to what he is without them..???

I bought "England's Newest Hit Makers" when it was released, but it was Around and Around, (also in '64), when I was 11. Actually, pretty much all of "12 X 5" and "Now" started me on the way to being a lifelong fan. I was in the 15th row at the unannounced '78 Ft. Worth, TX show at Will Rogers (tickets were for the London Green Shoed Cowboys)! It was

I could do without guests too, including M.T. One of my favorite parts of live Stones shows since '78 has always been listening to Keith and Ronnie play together and off of each other. Sorry, but M.T. playing as a "featured soloist", self indulgently grandstanding and drowning them out doesn't work for me at all. I'd much rather hear Keith and Ronnie cranked up in the mix

Wow...think how cool it would be if they made Ronnie and Keith sit out instead of getting in the way while M.T. is playing over them! They should let him sing some of his originals! In fact, they should let him have the stage to himself!! The Stones are nothing without M.T., Especially compared to what he is without them. And at least he kept his integrity and has not been doing a lousy "Veg

Remember that MJ was running jumping non-stop in '81 (and in '75 to some extent). He's "winded" and it affects his vocals. He started pacing himself in '89, and going forward, putting more of an emphasis on giving a strong vocal performance.

I apparently pushed this off the cliff last night. I enjoy your analogy, and I'm not just loyal to my current "wife" (Ronnie), I really enjoy him in the context of the band in concert, playing off of, and in support of Keith. Just my preference!

Wow.... As a lifetime Stones fan I started following their activities on this site during the '94 tour. I'm always interested in changes in the song line-up, reviews and comments. I've downloaded live audio and video for years, and spent buckets on bootlegs before that. I've seen the band either 25, or 30 times (I lost count) and flew to Vancouver to catch them at the end of 2

Come to think of it, years ago I knew a guy who's favorite album was Between the Buttons. I may not have been very respectful of his opinion at the time either!

Max's - I appreciate you and maybe one other person being civil to a fellow fan. I should have let it drop, but was surprised at the level of condescension and anger I received in response to a differing opinion.

I'm a Dave Grohl fan, but after the novelty wore off, I'd rather hear the Stones play Bitch without the distraction. I love this band live and could do without all of the guest stars. I understand the feelings about M.T., it's just that when I saw it went up to 4 songs, with 3 featuring him, it cuts into what I really want to hear (possibly for the last time), which is Keith and Ro

So, you also have not enjoyed the Stones live for the last 38 years? Are you guys sure you are really even fans? Sounds like you've just been disappointed for years. "Vegas Stones", really? Sorry, I like the dynamic and sound of the band with Ronnie. I flew to Vancouver to catch the Stones at the end of 2006, thinking it would be the "last time". I did not expect such an

Sorry "haters", the only reason I jumped on this thread was because I was upset to see that Taylor was now up to 4 songs, which gives him much more solo / feature time than the two mainstays who I love hearing play live together. And yes, the 3rd guitar does "murk up" the dynamic of the band's sound. Sorry everyone, but Taylor getting that much spotlight is not something

Wow...it get's pretty ugly on here when another Stones fan doesn't idolize Mick Taylor like a few of you do. Who's being selfish and idiotic? Sorry I interrupted your M.T. lovefest.

I'm an idiot because I don't have the same reverential opinion of M.T. as Duffydawg? I'm "crappin'"?? Gee, thanks for enlightening me to the fact that instead of enjoying the last 40 years of shows and boots, I should have been resenting R.W. and unappreciative of his contributions to the Stones' energy, sound and live shows. I'm from the school that thinks

Ronnie plays like a true member of a band, adding to, interacting with, and supporting the moment and the other members. Taylor has always played like a soloist, with no "edge" and an inability to play rhythm and "weave" with Keith's playing. M.T. lucked out and played on some great material 40 years ago.

M.T. over plays and is overrated. Keith and Ronnie should not be backing this guy up. What a slap in their faces.

Sorry you have not enjoyed the band live for over 40 years. I saw them in '69 and '72 and Taylor already sounded like a guest.

I'd much rather hear Ronnie than M.T. I want to hear the interplay of the Stones that I've enjoyed live 30 times. I really don't want to hear Keith and Ronnie backing M.T., especially on more than one song.

....but not a member of the band for almost 40 years. I much prefer the band live with the focus on Keith and Ronnie where it belongs, not on a guest "soloist". I'm flying to Chicago to catch the Stones for about the 30th time and really hope I don't have to sit through 4 songs with M.T. in the spotlight.
