I read this while I was still in high school. Unfortunately, I don't have it any more.

There have been some really great rap bands (Public Enemy and Grandmaster Flash come to mind), and some really great rap songs, so to discount an entire genre may be taking it a bit far. Music isn't a competition. There's room for all different tastes and preferences

Sad to hear this. I also saw him a few years ago, and my thoughts at the time were exactly the same. At 70 years old he wiped the floor with many, many far younger bands. He was one of the greats, for sure.

Sirius is great. The Underground Garage is excellent, as is Sirius Disorder. I wish the Stones channel would go deeper. I tend to hear a lot of the same stuff every time I tune in. I can't wait for Howard to start!

I walked into MSG kind of down about the whole thing. I had a really tough time getting tickets and was disappointed in what I was hearing about the set list. But, halfway through the show, I realized that as usual, I was absolutely transported by the music. Do I wish that I didn't feel pissed about what I feel was a poor way to distribute tickets? Definitely. Would I have preferred tha

I hated it. I still don't think much of it. To me, it was the beginning of the end for the Stones as a band whose album releases were big events to look forward to.

Actually, I saw them last summer, and they didn't really rock that hard. It was nice to hear the songs, but they sounded a lot slicker than the NY Dolls ever should.

I travelled from NY to see the Amsterdam ArenA show. I couldn't believe that he @#$%& up the first chords of the first song of the night. I couldn't even recognize it, although part of that might have been due to the god awful sound in that place! Legitimatly great hard rock band. It is easy to look back and sort of laugh, but the fact is, the stuff still sounds really, really good. I saw them in 1977, at the first Ozzfest reunion (without Bill Ward) and again the next time they went out (with Bill). I don't remember a lot of the 1977 show. It was my first concert, I was only 13, and it was a long time ago, but the two recent shows

I was there. In 25 years of seeing Stones shows, the performance of THSMLI easily ranks with the handful of truly magical moments I've been lucky enough to witness. To me, that's the Stones. They are erratic live. Sometimes brilliant, sometimes an off night, but when you catch them at the right moment, they wipe the floor with any other band on the planet!

I think you could also make that same argument about the 1972 tour. I am glad that they didn't stop in 1981. I've seen enough good shows on subsequent tours that even if the peak of their recording powers was a long, long time ago, on their night, they can wipe the floor with any other band in the world.

I saw him on the street many years ago and stopped him to say hello. He launched into a monologue about this homeless woman that was behind him, asking me what she wanted from him, how she'd been following him around all day, etc., etc.

I was at MSG. Also my first live look at any of the Stones. Any complaints about sloppiness of the shows sort of betrays a lack of understanding about what they were meant to be, which was . . . loose! Look at them more in the spirit of the live Faces and maybe the NBs will make more sense. Gimmie Some Neck was a really good record, and this mix of musicians was cool to see. The whole specia

I hate Victor Bockris. He did a real hatchet job on Patti Smith in his "bio" of her.

I thought that Izzy (or someone else whose career obviously owes a debt to JT) would have been a more appropriate choice. I don't think this reunion ever should have happened, but I will give them credit for picking up Sam Yaffa from Hanoi Rocks to take over for poor Killer.

I was stunned by how many holders of what were obviously corporate tickets left halfway through Roseland in '02. Unless you have low blood sugar or something, I don't understand leaving for food. But, again, I don't think that staying seated makes a crowd lame. Different people enjoy the concert experience in different ways.

I was looking through my '81 program last night. Boy, they've gotten better. This one literally had a single line of text devoted to each band member and a bunch of pictures from the '78 tour. Then again, it only cost $5.00!
