I know it's a small consolation, but the May issue of Goldmine Magazine will feature a story on the band, with a lot of insights from the promoter. It will hit newsstands around April 9 or 10. If you want to ensure you get one, you can subscribe, as they don't print a huge amount of them.

Quotestone66 I see, one of those exclusive, superfan-type threads. I'll bet no one here can say how many ingredients it takes to make strawberry jam, without Google-peeking. I'm certainly not a "Superfan", I was just in the right place at the right time. I post on here from time to time. I'm a Journalist, but it was at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, and there we

Quotegeorgie48 Hi Matt, just read some of the suggestions. I would advice you to follow the hints of Roller99 and erikjjf. It appears oldfasioned, but it's well worked out software over the past decades. Don't experiment, because there is nothing more frustrating than messing up a large database. Also having "backups" on the Internet is still highly risky, whatever they say

QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash QuoteTooTough Quotemattleeuk For those that know Zach, he is the “Rolling Stones Ticket King”, Zach runs the bands VIP ticketing and many here have relied on his hard work and dedication. Interesting theory. There´s a parallel society in here and out there. For my shows I had to pay, queue, bid, wait, sweat and hope. For others it seems to be easier. I think that

If you want to use a credit card, click the "Pay using Paypal" button, you need to either have an account, or create one. If you're creating a new account, you will have to go through the secure process where they make two small deposits into your bank account, i.e. $0.23, and you verify the amounts. If you have Paypal, log in and then you have the option to add another source, li

Just use Excel Matt, it has the flexibility to allow you to categorize and sort on any field. It's quite easy to do advance tasks, such as sorting based on color, pivot tables, etc. Think of it as a cabinet, with each file in each drawer translating into a file folder, but with the ability to cross reference. I'll even set it up for you if you want. No big deal.

QuoteHairball Seems to me that "the band will continue to play in lucrative markets with high prices because the fans will continue to pay" and "greed" go hand in hand and are pretty much one in the same. I suppose one could draw that conclusion. The thing is, that if everyone en masse stopped purchasing tickets at high prices, then the prices would drop. It's like an

Quotestargroover roller99......greed has a lot to do with where the band plays .They play lucrative markets. If they were not wanting a big pay cheque then they would share their wonderful music in poorer countries. Disagree. I have spent hours talking about this with their promoter in a series of interviews I'm doing, and while it does look like it's all about greed, it isn't.

Quotestargroover Micawber my sensitive little friend,I have probably seen more shows in a single tour than you have since 1982.And I have never seen a poor performance whether it’s pissing it down in Sheffield or cracking flags in Havana. I am sure your loyalty to the band makes you feel good and they will be pleased with you. It’s time they radically changed the set list and dug out the real

Quotekeefmick If you had the opportunity to ask Chuck Leavell one question in a casual situation, what would it be? No need for the negative nancy's to chime in with the usual set list bashing. Please, serious responses only and not a technical question. Something that everyday Stones fans would like to know the answer to please. I may have the situation arise and want to come up with a good

QuoteJumpingKentFlash Explain to me one thing. Why haven’t they done MSG since 2006? It’s some sort of promotor debacle iirc. Wasn’t it Live Nation having exclusive rights to concerts in MSG, and the Stones using AEG? Yep. Dead on. AEG can and does make the occasional deal with LiveNation, but they are run by AEG. 2006 was around the time that they went from Michael Cohl to AEG I believe.

QuoteHairball Whatever the case, sounds like a lame overpriced night at the Hollywood Bowl based on most reports I've read. Jeff Beck fans disappointed with his limited time with Rod, and Rod Stewart fans bored with the anticlimactic set featuring Jeff. Sure some probably enjoyed it, but they seem in the minority. So now that Jeff has finsihed his lame mini-tour with Depp, culminating

QuoteRocky Dijon Quoteroller99 Anyone who complains that Beck disappointed didn't read the announcement when tickets sold out in January. It was never billed as anything more than a Rod Stewart concert, with a "special appearance" by Jeff Beck. Beck's press release in June billed it as "a landmark reunion set on what will be their most in-depth concert in over 35 years.

Quoteroundnround Was anyone else at the Hollywood Bowl concert last night with Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck? What the heck happened? It was billed as a great reunion, but they only did a few songs together, then abruptly left the stage and ended the show. It seemed like Rod was having trouble getting Jeff to come out and play. When he did it was good, with some of the old songs like Ain't S

Quotelaurel QuoteOhYesMeAgain Also, Laurel, I thought that the Rose Bowl show was great, but I have to say the Santa Clara show really blew my mind in comparison. They played great and I think Mick even out did his usually absolutely extraordinary performance. Oh wow! You were lucky to have been at both! I also think that Santa Clara was better than Pasadena, but Chicago beat both of them.
