QuoteJumpingKentFlash Explain to me one thing. Why haven’t they done MSG since 2006? It’s some sort of promotor debacle iirc. Wasn’t it Live Nation having exclusive rights to concerts in MSG, and the Stones using AEG? Yep. Dead on. AEG can and does make the occasional deal with LiveNation, but they are run by AEG. 2006 was around the time that they went from Michael Cohl to AEG I believe.

QuoteDan Quotegrzegorz67 Quotepaulywaul Good to know. The 2 big players in that market are that lot and StubHub, the latter being marginally more ethical and owned by eBay. I don't think you'll ever completely stop ticket touting but it would be good to see the worst excesses curved. Actually Ebay is trying to sell off Stubhub which was valued at billions but with TM starting to cl

QuoteHairball Whatever the case, sounds like a lame overpriced night at the Hollywood Bowl based on most reports I've read. Jeff Beck fans disappointed with his limited time with Rod, and Rod Stewart fans bored with the anticlimactic set featuring Jeff. Sure some probably enjoyed it, but they seem in the minority. So now that Jeff has finsihed his lame mini-tour with Depp, culminating

QuoteRocky Dijon Quoteroller99 Anyone who complains that Beck disappointed didn't read the announcement when tickets sold out in January. It was never billed as anything more than a Rod Stewart concert, with a "special appearance" by Jeff Beck. Beck's press release in June billed it as "a landmark reunion set on what will be their most in-depth concert in over 35 years.

Quoteroundnround Was anyone else at the Hollywood Bowl concert last night with Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck? What the heck happened? It was billed as a great reunion, but they only did a few songs together, then abruptly left the stage and ended the show. It seemed like Rod was having trouble getting Jeff to come out and play. When he did it was good, with some of the old songs like Ain't S

Quotelaurel QuoteOhYesMeAgain Also, Laurel, I thought that the Rose Bowl show was great, but I have to say the Santa Clara show really blew my mind in comparison. They played great and I think Mick even out did his usually absolutely extraordinary performance. Oh wow! You were lucky to have been at both! I also think that Santa Clara was better than Pasadena, but Chicago beat both of them.

QuoteDeanGoodman Quoteroller99 Did anyone else who was in the pit last night have issues actually finding the wristbands? I agree with you there. Very odd. Also the first stadium I went to on this tour without free wifi. It's a National Historic Landmark, so won't face the wrecking ball. Sorry! Well yeah, I know they won't be knocking it down, I just prefer any other stadium in

Quotechevysales Quoteroller99 Did anyone else who was in the pit last night have issues actually finding the wristbands? Or finding their car after the show? Once we got into the stadium, we walked around and around looking for the pit wristband "tent". Had we not been escorted by one of the "people" working there, we would never have seen it. It wasn't a tent, it was

QuoteStonedRambler Thanks roller99 for not just following Mick but also filming Keith, Ronnie and Charlie. Hate it when videos only show Mick the whole time as if he was the only band member. You did a great job on finding the right balance with all band members. Thanks, I appreciate that.

Quotelikecats I got home in the wee hours of the morning. It took awhile to get out of the stadium and walk to the car but I had found free parking near a freeway on-ramp so the post-concert traffic slog was minimal. Anyway, great show last night. Street Fighting Man was a strong opener, nice to hear it again. I was really happy, for completely selfish reasons, to get She’s A Rainbow for the song

Quotegeorgie48 Quoteroller99 She's A Rainbow - Pasadena 8/22/19 Thanks roller99! Not being able to be there myself (you know why), it almost felt I was there while watching your recordings (on my big iMac screen)! You were located at a spot that I have enjoyed over the passed decade or so in all kind of locations around the world, so it really felt great! THANKS! My pleasure Geogie48,

QuoteHairball Thanks as always bye bye johnny for posting all the great pics and the OC Register review. The Rose Bowl is a beauty, though perhaps not for the timid, feeble, or the meek. That said, I saw people older than the Stones happily making their way all around the stadium - a historical landmark that has stood the test of time. Currently at Burbank Airport relaxing prior to a shor
