I saw an amazing version of "Brown Sugar" on the B stage in Vegas on the Licks tour. Probably best 1 i witnessed. & on ABB tour, I was in a position really close to get fully blasted by Keith's amp. This was a show around Halloween that Motley Crue opened. Ronnie wasn't "well" & Keith was doing all the heavy lifting on guitar. Most excellent!

QuoteOzHeavyThrobber Thanks for the link Ross and I don't think it stood a chance of remaining a separate thread these days... I'll try and change the thread title if I still can to incorporate the forthcoming album. As a side note - guys discussing annoying concert goers and what they should or shouldn't do please take it elsewhere. Thanks. Who died & made you God?

QuoteKoen What does 'era' mean? earned run average. basically how many runs a 9 inning game a pitcher gives up through the other team getting hits. example of an unearned run would be a player scoring that reached base on error. its a strange game if you haven't grown up with it.

Quotesdstonesguy Quote71Tele Quotesdstonesguy Great story Naturalust! For many of us, there is nothing wrong with dancing at a concert. Others would call Joan an "a--hole" for dancing at a concert. I'll say if folks started dancing at symphony, opera, jazz supper club, etc. it would likely be due to alcohol. Dancing at a rock concert shouldn't make someone an a--hole tho

QuoteHairball QuoteDeanGoodman QuoteHairball Different perspectives and opinions should be welcomed and appreciated rather than completely dismissed and ignored. Different strokes for different folks... With that said, I would love to read a review from you of the abysmal Dylan show I saw two years ago at the Santa Barbara Bowl. It made me appreciate the Stones, esp, Mick Jagger, even m

Quote71Tele QuoteJimmyTheSaint I love Bob. Have seen him live 15 times, between the years 1994 and 2013. The shows were in arenas, school gymnasiums, amphitheatres, baseball parks and at county fairs. Between '94 and '02 the shows were mostly outstanding. Great musicianship, varied setlists and a mostly coherent and engaged Bob. By 2006 I decided I had seen him enough. Started g

He'll end up making more money for a crappy team next year. Just hope he keeps his head on straight enough the rest of the year to do us some good. Is too bad. He is a great player. i heard the chargers were trying to get lynch but aft

Quotewinter Steelers/Colts, wow. Almost 100 passes thrown, a 400 yd QB and a 500 yd QB, 9 passing touchdowns total and Big Ben wins his 100th game in his 150th start, becoming only the 3rd QB to do so. Pretty good NFL day, all told. Some of everything. I would've been happier if Philly had pulled it out but you can't have everything. We'll hope for the best with the GB/NO game to

QuoteHairball I was hesitant to mention that I would be seeing Dylan again as the last time I saw him two years ago at the Santa Barbara Bowl it was rather depressing. Granted this was an outdoor venue and the weather was on the nippy side by So. Cal standards (Dylan even wore a hoodie), but almost everything about that show left me thinking I would never pay to see him again. Bottom line...his

QuoteMKjan Oakland is on it's way to a perfect record. It's sad to watch. The Raiders were my favorite team before the Seahawks existed. Hopefully they will be back. Carr looks like he has potential. Think they are a few years away though.

Quotemr_dja That picture illustrates the main problem for Norwegian baseball... Once they figure out that the rest of the world plays the game with bats, balls and gloves on grass, they may be able to compete on a worldwide level. As long as they insit on using brooms & rocks and playing on ice, I don't see much hope for them! Peace, Mr DJA Hey, ease up on the curling! There is a

Quotebv No worries. I had to do some walking to find Coopers Pale Ale on tap but it tasted great. By the time I was back it was time for the Oval and The Stones so it is pretty busy here in Adelaide. I understand Victoria beer is not popular here so I will make sure I do only drink South Australia Beer from now on. Promise. I quite enjoyed Bundaberg Rum (in moderation, of course) down there. A

I'll probably end up going by hook or by crook. For me is because of the chance to see Pete one more time. I have seen the Who do some phenomenal shows & don't really have any expectation that are going to come close to some of those. Roger's voice is still ok but its not what it was. Not going to ante' up that far in advance though. It's just too long. Is almost like

I'm pulling for the Royals just on the basis of I like the small market teams to do well once in awhile. Especially in baseball. The lack of a salary cap makes it hard for them to compete. I'm a M's fan but I'm not as hardcore as I am about the Seahawks. The ownership of the M's leaves a lot to be desired. We showed signs of improvement this year. Maybe next year. Until t

QuoteGasLightStreet Vegas has the Saints over the Packers. WTF!!?? Is that straight up or the point spread? The game is in New Orleans. Home field is certainly a factor. I took NO on my pick em sheets. Hopefully it will be a good game on Sunday night. Last Sunday's dismantling of Santa Clara was pretty boring.
