One thing I must say: I decided at the last minute to go to the 360 tour. Paid $60 for a $30 ticket. The seat turned out to be perfect & it was the best stadium show I've ever seen. The sound was near perfect & the presentation made it feel like you weren't in a stadium but still had some spectacle. & I've seen the Stones several times in stadiums. In fact, the Stones s

The last tour Red Hot Chili Peppers did with John Frusciante on guitar they had a guy behind the amps playing guitar & keyboards. I could clearly see him from where I was sitting. Worked out well for him though. He's the new guitar player now. I haven't seen them since then but it would boggle the mind if they were doing the same now. Aerosmith used to use extra musicians too. They

I want to see this. Should be a cautionary tale about the music biz. At least the way it used to be.

Maybe Keith is trying to spice up the warhorses or keep the band on their toes

I love Reactor. I'm glad you got a great show. I read an interview with Pancho where he said he thinks this may be the last Crazy Horse tour. Going out on a high note, etc.

I saw them in Seattle last November. It was pretty wonderful. I'm totally jealous of "Surfer Joe & Moe the Sleaze". Now if we could just get them to play "T-Bone"! I think the Horse takes a lot out of Neil though.

Happy Silver Jubilee to Sub Pop Records. Big celebration today in Seattle with numerous bands. Here's a clip of Mudhoney performing from the top of the Space Needle that kind of kicked off the festivities. They rock!

Looks like you got to smell the Horse! Have seen Crazy Horse many times. Its like going to rock & roll church. Best one was on the Greendale tour. They played the Joint in Vegas(when it was 1200 capacity) because there was big model train show in town. Problem was, they couldn't fit the set in the venue. So they played 3 hours of pretty much every Crazy Horse song you could want. When th

The last stadium show I saw, there were a lot of empty seats in the upper deck. The show was still good & there were plenty of folks there but it was a little sad too. & they had Dave Matthews (yawn) open, who is a good draw here too. They probably should've got Pearl Jam.

Quotenickm8 when i sees omeone with a 50 and counting shirt i ask if they went because if they didnt their not a real fan That wouldn't necessarily be the case in the US. They didn't play a lot of cities or regions. You add up the cost of transportation, hotel & not the least, decent tickets, it was a very expensive proposition. I was lucky enough to travel to one show but sacrifi

His show in Vegas was fun. Seemed like he was enjoying it. Fantastic acoustic set in the middle (Reason to Believe, etc.).

I got Psychedelic Pill on Blu-Ray audio. It is awesome! Especially the extra "song" Horseback. I was talking about Pono (?). His hi quality download system. I also have "On the Beach" DVD audio. That one was something of a holy grail for me for years. It is a masterpiece.

Thanks for the info. The loud mastering thing definitely can get out of hand. I really like the SACD format. Too bad it never caught on in a big way. Fortunately, Sony's Blu-Ray players still play the format. I'm interested in the new Neil Young technology but it seems to have stalled somewhat. The record labels will never learn to cooperate. I worked in the music biz for 25 years &

Too funny! I think the Rastas would believe that Jah would frown on this. BTW: I saw Elton in Vegas (for nostalgic reasons) the night before the Stones in Vegas. While not at the same level as the Stones, the show was quite enjoyable. He did Indian Summer from Madman! Still has Davey Johnstone, Nigel Olson & Ray Cooper in band. Didn't go overboard on the schmaltzy stuff & told storie

I believe it was supposed to be a PPV event but didn't happen (could be wrong). I've got an excellent dvd of the show. All the songs are really, really FAST. Ahhh, remember those fabulous 70's (sorta)....

QuotePromoman I just gave it another spin in it's entirety. To me it is a great album very coherent in it's atmosphere. Keith hangin' with the Rastas in Kingston. Definitely would be a situation with potential for volatility. Elton John started recording Yellow Brick Road @ the same studio, got scared & took off to France.

Has anybody got this yet? Not out in US yet but I saw an import copy ($50) at my local record store yesterday. Think it was out of England. Unfortunately the 50 song version, not the 80 song version. Just wondering if worth the effort. I've got most of the ABKO SACD discs & some of those are a revelation.

The good stuff always stands the test of time & in many cases actually gets better with age like fine wine. Why I don't think they (Mick) should worry about being "hip". I don't think the Stones are in any danger of having to hit the Native American casino circuit anytime soon like so many of their contemporaries have. I do admit I would enjoy seeing commercials every inni
