QuoteIggyrichards This album is Damm near perfect. Four sticks, misty mountain hop, when the Levee breaks, ECT... Totally deserves all the acclaim it recieves. Quotetatters Rock's finest moment in Rock's finest year (except maybe for Who's Next, which was released a couple of months earlier). I would agree with both of these opinions. IMHO, If you are a serious collector of cla

And it is hardly noticeable. And on Little Queenie. And Stray Cat. Mathijs The overdubs don’t do much but add a crunchier rhythm guitar. Doesn’t make the album nor change its legacy, not even clo

QuoteDandelionPowderman And the video songs are definitely not overdubbed Prodigal Son is a pain to listen to, and eventually they just cut it short because of Keith's out of tune guitar. It's a good box set just the same Your take on this is interesting. Since first watching the video of this on the expanded Ya Yas (and hearing the dry mono soundboard from the 69RSTRAX rele

He encourages his fans to crash gates, barriers, flaunt security protocols, etc. take a look at the video. This has been happening at his shows for years. QuoteMore Hot Rocks Quoteharlem shuffle It,s so terrible i hardly can believe it.No more solos for Keith now. It,s embarrasing I agree. And I’ll say it again Keith is not playing any better or worst than previous tours. It’s a hit and miss from show to show not tour to tour As a guitar player myself (I don't claim to be a virtuoso by any stretch, but would rate myself as an intermediate p

On that tune, I wish Mick would have strapped on an extra guitar to put a little meat on the bones of Sad Sad Sad the way he did during the Steel Wheels tour. Although a little ragged in spots, this is a good early show from the Voodoo Lounge tour (and the Godfather version has been the one in my collection that I listen to more often than not), with a nice setlist and decent performances of tunes like Wild Horses, Rocks Off, The Worst, Monkey Man. Definitely worth having in the old collection!

Quotebitusa2012 The more I listen, and I am listening often, the more and more I reckon the Lost and Found disc would have made a great mid 80’s Stones album in its full without the alternate Start me Up. It’s fantastic. The best disc of outtakes The Stones have released on any of their Deluxe issues. No real dud. The ONLY issue, has it been released as an album after the Start me Up / Ta

Depending on what (quality) goodies are left to mine, the Stones are/were overdue for a boxed set retrospective ala like the Beatles long ago released Anthology sets. It is just too bad because the Holy Grail is the 60's catalogue. If various parties could have worked things out, I imagine that quality Deluxe releases of Aftermath, Beggars and Let it Bleed (including outtakes and rarities) p

It is too bad that there ever began what has become this never ending debate, that we lovingly (lol) refer to as "Beatles vs. Stones." Every so often throughout the last 50+ years, you'll have your comments (first I remember it being from Lennon comparing how the Stones supposedly did everything after the Beatles and imitating them) or like Paul McCartney who makes his recent littl

QuoteRocktiludrop Quotejahisnotdead I agree that the set list is beyond stale, and this is from someone who still enjoys Miss You. I'm just glad they are together at all and performing so well. That in and of itself is a minor miracle. The set list issue is why Paris Olympia 2003 is my main go-to live Stones concert on DVD. It's the closest thing to a custom set list for me. But, of
