QuoteStoneage Same with me. I don't mind the odd ballad, or two, on an album. But more than that and I'm just bored. And I don't think every slow song from Keith is a masterpiece. What's boring is your moaning about Keith's ballads. Keith's tracks aren't just ballads, they are a journey through blue's, country and soul, ok you don't get it. So wh

QuoteTaylor1 Why didn’t he save a couple of the best songs from Cross Eyed Heart for Hackney Diamonds There are some great songs like Whole Wide World and Heaven on it , but Keith contributed less than his usual to the album Because Keith didn't know the Stones would make another album, at 80 years of age at the time of HD release he might have been dead by then for all he knew. Plus Ke

QuoteStoneage Quoteumakmehrd Not really sure where you get the fact that keith's main contribution are slow ballads... Glimmer twins keep writing rockers and ballads as just witnessed Maybe you're right but it seems to me that Keith's output lately is very ballad orientated (his latest solo album being one example). Nothing wrong with that though. 8 of the 15 tracks on Crosseye

Wild Horses, Coming Down Again, Angie, Keith's been writing ballads for Mick and himself since the 60s, Ruby Tuesday. Keith's heart is in ballads as BV shows above with Apartments No 9, Send Me Back Home etc. My personal favourite is his performance of Love Hurts with Nora Jones, arguably Keith's best live vocal. Love Hurts.

Nay, wouldn't mind though if Ronnie gave all the money from the Setlists to the teenager cancer trust or something.

Quotechrism13 It is me, or has Ronnie and or the band, moved away from those single note solos he used to rip on like he did on You Cant Always Get what you want on the ‘81 tour for example. Seems he used to play more extended solos. Is some cases they reminded me of aJerry Garcia solo. In technical terms …18th notes? He's 77 years old.

The Dead Flowers Guest singer, did she get invited to sing with Mick because she was hot lol. There have been far better guests available to sing with Mick throughout this tour that would have enhanced the music.

Mick said decades ago if you don't have fun on the road it's your own fault. I guess they've always enjoyed it, Keith seems particularly happy the past few shows, it's lovely to see them enjoying their music, they definitely earned it.

Quoteharlem shuffle So lets hope they get solotours next year, and no more Stonestours I take it you prefer Mick solo without Keith as you don't like Keith's solo's. You are funny man, but i like the way you are so passionate about defending Mick.

Quoteharlem shuffle Sorry this was a terrible solo.Keith should stay with the rythm, there he is very good You don't make any sense, Keith can't very well not play his solo's. He can't just play rhythm, Keith's signature intros and solo's are a huge part of the music that is the Rolling Stones. It's like me saying Mick should just perform by walking w

I think Keith peaked in 1990, this is Sympathy For The Devil on steroids. He did a similar solo in 89' in Atlantic City. This clip in 1990 Tokyo. Couldn't resist this one from 89' Atlantic City. Keith's a force of nature at his best here. Happy

QuoteTantekäthe Judging by the recordings only, I have to say this has to be the best "version" of the band since - at least - the Licks tour more than 20 years ago (exceptions like the glorious 2013 outing at Glasto not withstanding). Take SFTD for example, when was the last time the guitar parts - if played at all - were not awkward excursions but actually complimented the song? I cou
