Quote24FPS It's strange that this mythical thing we've wanted them to do, the 'One Last Great Album' holy grail, may never happen. We've actually outlived the record album as a viable art piece. With ITunes and other Mp3 services, we've devolved back into a singles business. There's no money in albums anymore. (Unless you have a freak release like Adele). Only u

Quote71Tele Quotetomcasagranda I am going to be devil's advocate, and say that some of Superheavy, the last contemporaneous Jagger-related album, wasn't too bad. Many slated it, as they wanted the Stones to get back together, but it did show Jagger as, still, a good force in popular music, and that he wasn't too spent. On the evidence of the live performances, the band is firing

Quotestonesnow QuoteJumpinJackOLantern Quotestonesnow Going out in a blaze of glory with one last album and a tour and then calling it quits in 2013--that's just the sort of thing the legendary MightStonesStillRollin50 would suggest. But to the first point in your post, the boxing comparison. So you're saying if you play music too long it will give you Parkinson's? Hmmmm.... T

I think the performance last week is all we going te get from Mick Taylor together with the Stones I'm afraid. Yes, he did overplay and it was so many years since he played with them.

Chuck can play the keyboards, otherwise the Stones woldn't hire him. But you can hardly hear him on most of the songs, so in that regard the Stones can do as good without him and have a true guitar based band like in 1975,1978 and 1981-1982.

QuoteStoneage Having Taylor and Wyman on for the London shows was just a symbolic gesture. What's the point with havin Taylor on again for one number? He is no longer the guitar god he is set up to be by the Taylorites. Wyman on the other hand is still a better Rolling Stones bassplayer than Darryl. Darryl has been a misfit from the start. I agree

Quote71Tele QuoteRokyfan Rambler was better without MT. Just saying. Maybe...But Tumbling Dice, Gimme Shelter, All Down The Line, YCAGWYW, Happy, Brown Sugar, and JJF weren't. And haven't been for 37 years. Just saying. At the concert in Brooklyn Mick Taylor didn't join the others because he was backstage eating Keiths Shepherds pie.

Quote71Tele QuoteStonesTod Quote71Tele QuoteRokyfan Rambler was better without MT. Just saying. I can't imagaine anything more irritating than the need to see "just saying" after you just said something...Worst linguistic fad of the 21st Century so far. i'm personally more irritated when people have to say personally after they say i...as if there's an alternative...

I have no idea why the prices are this high. But i guess it's because they only do six gigs. I hope if they continue to tour in 2013 the tickets will be more reasonable.

I think Taylors playing on Midnight Rambler was bad. Just one long solo for 12 minutes with a lot of notes off key and to loud. The Taylor we heard playing so great in the 70`s seems to be gone. He appeared to be lost on stage the way he moved and didn't look healthy. I think the decision to leave the Stones was a bad idea both for the Stones and Taylor himself.

QuoteThe Sicilian Quotetalkcheap Quoteohotos The start of BS sounded a bit off. But excellent show so far! I'm jealous at all the people in the audience I'm not. That show is not worth more than $100 a seat. We are having a great time here ripping it. Believe me I would rather be jealous and wishing I was there but not with those prices and that setlist. They didn't even ad

Maybee MT is backstage eating Keiths shepherds pie

Keith and John were great friends. I the 70´s Keith always carried a gun, don't know if that would have helped John, he was shot in the back and John didn´t like guns either.

I found a broker with 2 tickets in sec 25, row 7 and he wants $525 each.....I think it's a scam. He wants cash or a check for 1/2 the total, then he will get the tickets from a NYC broker and FEd Ex them to me. At that point, I'll send him the balance. N
