Keith was angry at him. Keith set up signs on the door to the studio for keeping Stephen from borrowing his guitars. Keith said that Stephen didn't do coke properly and he wanted nothing to do with him.

Quotestonesdan60 QuoteRoll73 Being that most of us here are Stones fans who are well aware of Keith's decades long indulgence in all manner of nasty habits, is this picture supposed to shock us? I've seen plenty of pictures of Keith looking way more wasted than that. Keith look very good, like he is on his way to the library picking up a book about medicine from the 1890's

I think Exile on Main Street and european tour 1973, but all albums is good between Beggars Banquet and It's only Rockn Roll, when something happened even if Some girls and Tattoo you also are good. Which is your favorite song?

Mick Taylor is a very good guitarist but I don't think he has much input to offer in todays Stones. Those times are gone and he's not the same guitarplayer he once were. But I'm a big fan of Taylors guitarplaying in the 70's.

Which in your opinion is the best studio album by the Stones and which tour was the best?

Mick Taylor indirectly by leaving the Stones and Ron Wood had been thought of by the other Stones allready in 1969 when Brian was fired. And Rod Stewart was going solo.

QuoteJumpinJackOLantern Quotestonesnow QuoteBlackHat I didn't sign up to say the Stones should quit. And I'm not exactly new. Been here on and off for years under a number of different guises. I just posed a question. Should they quit whilst they are totally on top or should they carry on and go out with a lesser bang? Is there scope for differing opinions? Or do you just want to

The Stones doesn't have it in them anymore. If they took help by Mick Taylor and gave it a year of hard work, they might do a great album. But I have my doubts Taylors playing nowday is nothing compared to 1973. And Keith made is best albums then he was on smack. Sober he no longer can do it.

We first person who thougt the Stones would quit was Mick Taylor who belived he was leaving a sinking ship. Something he bitterly regret over the years then he seas hundreds of million dollars for the Stones. Even Bill Wyman didn't see that kind of money, It was later the big bucks came. I think Mick is very sorry leaving the band and how things has turned out for him financially and in ill

QuoteMax'sKansasCity QuoteBlackHat Five great shows, the legacy enhanced, everybody in a happy place. Is there any benefit in prolonging the experience and watering down the feelgood factor? A great comparison would be the Cream concerts in 2005. May in London everybody had a great time. October in New York not such a great time. Very good rythm guitar by Mick Taylor. The best guitar work on Tattoo you is the two tracks Taylor plays on.

I can't understand why the Stones hasn't done a decent album since Some girls. They are still a good live band but on record the magic is long gone. Some say it has to do with Mick Taylor leaving the band, but I don't know. Both Beggars Banquet and Some girls are good albums.

When Brian was in the band Keith was the solo player. When Brian was fired from the band everything was more or less over for him.

Quote6853 if I sum it up : rythm & groove guitar, and lead guitar, are not the same instruments. so all comparison is inapropriate.... I agree, they are very different. There is more soloplayers when there are rythmplayers. I think it is easy to get bored listening to solo players, but a good rythm like whats going on between Charlie and Keith you can listen to forever

Keith is wrong, if you listen, Clapton and Taylor are good on both rythm and solo playing. This makes them complete guitar players. But he is right about BB King.

Is there anyone who read Bills book about the Stones. What do you think? When I read it my first thought was that he had somehow betrayed Mick, Keith and Ronnie. What would Keith say if they met again?

QuoteMathijs He looks and sounds like somebody who took too much coke in one go. It knocks you off your feet for 10 minutes. This wry smile, this chewing, it sure looks like it. Mathijs My first thought also, I believe you are right. Read Bill Germans book.

This is as fareaway you can get from the Stones, this Jagger solo tour even if Steel Wheels tour was a little Las Vegas. Glad this days are over. I think Jagger didn't think clear in the 80´s.

It is enough to see Stones once a year. More is boring. They are not like Dylan that make every song different every time. I think it is better to see lots of bands. The Stones have never been a band able to jam.

I think Ronnie and Sally is gonna have a bunch of kids, at least three or four little rock'n rollers and that way Ronnie will never grow old. I heard a rumour that all of the Rolling Stones have cloned themself so we in some years can look forward to a new and fresh band! These guys will never stop! Congratulations!

QuoteJumpinJackOLantern Quotetalkcheap QuoteJumpinJackOLantern Quotetalkcheap Yes we have a new improved Keith that plays great. But it's a shame he and jagger dont' get along. But what had Keith expect after writing the book. In an unnecessary way even if it was just few lines he hit Mick there it hurts most. And words written down in an book is hard to take back.
