Quotekahoosier The sad truth is that over long term even morphine is less destructive to the body than alcohol is . The dangers of narcotic pain releivers are in their seductive quality and their much quicker addictive potential as compared to alcohol. The reputation that they have is largely based on the laws that govern their distribution and the public's percetion. There are a huge numbe

I guess he kind of messed himself up when he tripped on the catwalk last summer. From the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone: .....At the band's July 4th show in Indianapolis, Richards was running down the catwalk toward to stage during the sax solo of "Miss You" and tripped face-forward. "Somebody tossed a red straw boater hat, and it landed right in front of my feet,&qu

Quotetumbled as far as the muddy story goes, you weren't there and I wasn't there so we don't know do we? plus, it shows that Keith saw there was a human side to his idol and this doc. does the same Its nice to worship your idols but does it serve you or them any good. I find relief in the human side and wish he was able to enjoy some anonymity as most of us mortals take for gran

I noticed that he repeats the Muddy Waters painting the ceiling in 1964 story. I've always found that a little hard to believe but apparently Keith insists it happened. Oh, well...I remember all kinds of stuff that never actually happened too.

QuoteCristiano Radtke "If you're looking for 'Trouble,' you've come to the right place." Is this just a joke with the song title or the album will include a Elvis cover? That would fit perfectly for Keith, I think. Anyway, this are awesome news to start the day with! I wondered the same thing. "Trouble" was a Leiber/Stoller composition that EP did in the

E-mail says To pick-up your Lucky Dip tickets, please visit the designated ticket pick-up site located at the Gate F ticket office on the southwest side of the stadium. You must pick-up your tickets in person, along with your guest. Once tickets are in hand, guests will be immediately escorted into

Elvis towards the end. Same set list night after night. In Las Vegas he mixed it up sometimes. He did two shows a night for a month twice every year. Must have been a real grind. Sometimes he would call out a tune they had never done live & he would shine for a minute but otherwise...... 1976 new years eve: video:

Quotetauk QuoteEddieByword Quotechevysales this thread is funny... and a bit sad too! first I am wondering why BV hasn't swooped down and put a stop to this but I have an idea why it hasn't. too some of you have great pictures of 8 tracks...I remember only too well my Kraco player from Kmart and the case we carried our 8 tracks in. 5 to a row and 4 across...rotating them weekly. l

QuoteNoCode0680 I saw The Flaming Lips back in 1994. At the time it seemed like I was going to see them after they became famous. Because they'd been around for a little while but they'd just started getting some serious radio play with She Don't Use Jelly. But in hindsight that wasn't nearly as famous as they'd become after The Soft Bulletin and all the mainstream suc

I saw BB King in 1984 or 85 here in KCMO at the Uptown theater & being a drunken little punk rocker I tried to steal the personalized license plate off of his tour bus (I'm not proud of it but it happened , OK?). As I was kneeling down & attempting to turn the screws I saw 2 large feet stop beside me & an equally large voice ask what I was doing. I quickly got up & responded

I have always maintained that I was born the same night that Keith dreamed the satisfaction riff. My birthday is May 9, 1965. There was a recent spate of articles stating that the dream occurred on the 7'th instead of the 9'th. Does anybody know the story better than I do? I've always heard that they had played in Jacksonville that night (the 8'th) & KR woke in the morning

“I remember that one. It was a big outside show in the daylight. I wore, like, football clothes with yellow trousers. It’s all about the clothes, really.” Mick, you are thinking of 1981 at Kemper arena when Mick Taylor dropped in. In '75 you wore those stripey pajama type pants.

QuoteNaturalust QuoteDandelionPowderman I read that, too, but it's not correct. Yeah no way even an Ampeg SVT cranked could compete with the power used for a PA at a place as big as Arrowhead stadium. But the mix is somewhat strange on these KC recordings, I'm wondering what the source actually was. peace This show was at Kemper arena , an 18,000 seat indoor arena , not Arrowhe
