Ranks as a huge underrated song. In my personal Stones world its top 25 of their songs if I ranked them. But then, I liked the LP Dirty Work, a lot. I know that makes me a freak here.

For me it was "Through the past Darkly" in about 73. I was a 12 year old and was hooked.

I think the passage of time has solidified the fact and theory of Oswald being the lone nut gunman. The trouble with conspiracies is that someone will talk eventually. That has never happened in this case.

I think its time for the boys to mellow out a bit. Quit worrying about the money and the biggest show. RnR is over and the Stones won. They are the Champs. I would like to see show set up at small venues where it plays to their strengths. Maybe Mick and Keith could tell some old stories and get closer to the audience. Play what they want. Low key. Fans would love it.

I really have a problem with Wenner for his mismanagement of the RnR HOF, and the mess of a magazine RS became. Ugh..

The Satisfaction version in Gimme Shelter is the best version ever laid down live on Satisfaction.

The sound has been lacking since Bill left. Bill not playing has hurt them as a live act.

I have an old friend. We have known each other since we teenagers in the lates 70's early 80's. He is a Beatles guy. He always insists indulging in his Beatles vs. Stones argument. As the years go by I don't really care for this guy as he is a bully when it comes to his opinions. He insisted on listening to songs to compare greatness. After a Yesterday vs. Satisfaction showdow

I hate these lists. Like Rolling Stone magazine is pretty much reduced to this sort of stuff. "500 best stage designs" "500 best roadie shirts" Its pretty awful and usually just click bait.

QuoteRollin' Stoner QuoteSipuncula I don't give a @#$%& about what the Stones, Springsteen, Bono, or your opinion is on political matters. Is there any place left to get away from this shit?+1 +2

I have mine on order from Amazon USA and should have it next week. The only reason for purchasing was the hope that the sound would be better than the damn movie. BTW, How could they @#$%& up the sound on that movie like that?? I remember taking a bunch of buddies to see it at a theatre in about 75 or 76. We were all kind let down. Great visuals with a low quite mix. Really????

Drummers like Ringo, Charlie, Mick Avory keep the soul of a band on the straight and narrow. Never bought into the big basher crap. I'll take Charlie over Ginger Baker or Keith Moon anytime.

Quotepeoplewitheyes Great story Timmy! Very evocative. Thanks for reading, didn't mean it to be sappy but just a defining moment as we became adults.

I like Still Life. I think it captured the sound of the 81 tour ok, as usual it seems like they had better choices but went with safe decent versions/places. I remember many of the bootlegs of the 81/82 tour were much more exciting.

I really love Christine's presence in FM. My favorite album is Bare Trees. She has a few great songs on that LP.

My story starts in Milwaukee. Our group of 3 girls and 3 boys have been stoked to see the Stones for the first time. July 8 in Chicago at Soldiers Field. We are all 17/18 years old. Not easy for parents to sign off on this trip but they all did. We planned for months. The day before the show arrives as we load my friend Peters car (parents car actually). We had a 72 Impala with a cooler full

I am a big Kinks fan in the Midwest. Johnny Cougar opened for the Kinks many times in the 78-79 era. Just hated him. Probably saw him 6-7 times as the opening act. Met him once, just a jerk of epic proportions. Plus throw in his political ramblings. Yuk. Not my cup of tea as they say.

I have seen Hermans Hermits (Peter Noone) twice in the last 10 years and have always enjoyed the show. Peter is really a talented guy and keeps plugging away. I live in central Wisconsin and they played a small venue in Wautoma to 2 sold out shows. Place probably seat about 400. $40 a pop. The math isn't bad for Peter if he has the stamina for this. Interesting how he carries on, as

I pre-ordered L&G and Texas 78 on US Amazon for $15.98 with a June 16 ship date. Knowing Amazon the price will probably be closer to $12 by shipping time and its worth taking a chance.

My first thought was @#$%& Journey! I can get a mad on knowing these guys are in the Rock HOF while many very important 60's groups don't even get a thought. That hall of shame really pisses me off. Saw them open for the Stones in 78 and to say they sucked would be kind. This proposed show has a whiff of desperation. Fleetwood Mac would be wise to avoid this.

Dion is a highly underrated guy. Split from the Belmonts cause he wanted to do bluesy-jazz.
