For the life of me, people don't like this? It's a Stunner. Lyrically a compelling Dylanesque sound to me. Musically, beautiful, simple, yet, complex, SO wonderfully put together. Great production, superb, SUPERB. CENTERPIECE of Exile, along with Shine a Light. One of their very, VERY best. "Dressing rooms filled with parasites"... WHAT a line!

I just hope that any new Stones album is produced with the same warmth and clarity as Crosseyed Heart. No artificial loudness.

Robbed Blind - stunning. Seriously LOVE the whole album bar Substantial Damage which SOUNDS horrendous, a good song, with the wrong sound. And don't care AT ALL for Goodnight Irene.I don't get others' love for it. It's a dirge. There, I said it. No-one agree? And SOME of the SOUND of the drumming??? Mmmmm, a little like Jordan's thumping a cardboard box, not a s

I find it strange when people feel obligated to loathe something. Because it sucks. There's no obligation. That's just it. Why is it so difficult for some people, like you, to understand how a piece of shit is a piece of

There is no "obligation" to dislike, or like, anything. It is personal taste. YOU may like it. Good. I don't. My opinion is equally as good as yours, or anyone's. No obligatio

Quotekeefriffhards Agreed, i got the impression Mick did his best to make it look awkward when singing it live LOl he so wanted D & G to be better because he wrote it Pathetic Yeah, Mick's a professional that would WANT to make HIS band look amateurish on stage by deliberately 'sabotaging' a song....pathetic

Quotegeorgelicks I can't see the problem with a short mini tour, about 6-8 shows here and there with a 12 song setlist, 60 minutes set: 5 songs from CH (the more easy ones to play live as Robbed Blind, Nothing On Me, Love Overdue...) 2 songs from TIC 2 songs from MO 2 Stones' songs That's it. Too late now anyway. That's 11 songs, not 12 ;-)

Nice enough song. Vocally not one of Jaggers better efforts. But like the rest of the album, horribly thin production.

Quoteemotionalbarbecue I may understand why media analize the album as soon as possible. That´s the way it is. That is the way they work. Time pressure etc... But in a stones fan forum.... We know how hard is to listen stones music. We must hear again and again and again for a long time until we taste the first fruits... So I can't understand this entire thread. Every page of it. It

Play it. Like it. Play it. Don't like it. Trying to tie it up in a cloak of "authenticity", or whatever is just pointless. Drivel really. All music had been done before. Some, rarely, moves it on, some somehow combines one genre with another. Mostly, in 99.9% of cases, music rehashes what has been done before. It's not that important, and to say, somehow, the authentici

QuoteDoxa Here comes the dilemma of authenticity: Keith is genuine and does music he loves, but that is doomed to be replica or pastishe-like. The title song - a good introduction to theme and feel of the album - is a charming Robert Johnson-pastishe. But the question arises: for what we actually need this piece, if we already have all those Robert Johnson records? Ironically, decades ago thi

QuoteWild Slivovitz As a final note, the record sounds fantastic: if it's true that the Stones will soon be back in studio, please let Keith be the one in charge of the production!! I, one million percent, agree with this. This record SOUNDS beautiful. It has an amazing warmth, almost a "crackle", to it. And also, I'd add, whoever mastered it (don't have it with me),

It's a wonderful, warm and brittle album. Did not think I would like it as much as I do, and I LOVE Keith. The singles, as singles, did not really do it for me. Taken together though, the record really hangs tight. Wonderful. His best solo record by the proverbial country Mile.
