Great list and I completely agree with the choices above. Mick Jagger's always been my favorite "singer", but I never thought of him as a "singer", he's so much more. Unfortunately over the last decade, Mick's changed his style to become a "singer" and it's been sometimes painful to me. Superheavy has some great songs on it, but Mick's &q

Perhaps it's great for those not familiar with the bootleg recordings. I had been listening to the Clauding-Accidents Never Happen bootleg for years, so when the Some Girls reissue came out, I was totally disappointed. Jaggers new vocals are terrible. I hate his "new" style of singing. Same thing with the Exile reissue. I pretty much only liked Tallahasse Lassie. No offense p

I think it is so much easier to nominate band's that have a definitive beginning and end, as opposed to bands like Yes, Jethro Tull and to a lesser extent the Moody Blues that never stopped and have tons of lineup changes. The Yes period of Yes album, Fragile, Close To The Edge, and Yessongs is as strong as any band ever including Pink Floyd. I mean I love Floyd but they made their career

Always loved this song too - kind of a hidden gem. My favorite part is towards the end of the song, always sounded to me like keith misses a note on the guitar but they left it in the song anyway

Somebody mentioned that there is "download live album" of the Stones duets from the tour. Does anyone have the link to that. Would love to hear an unauthorized version before the official one comes out

I always thought Streets Of Love was a great missed opportunity on the album. Potentially great song but "awful" annoying lyrics, but wow, I don't know how anybody with an open mind wouldn't love this live version. Clearly the crowd LOVED it, as did I.

So happy YES is finally getting nominated. They've had an incredibly long intertwining career with members coming and going and unfortunately that has hurt their credibility over the long term. But throughout their career, they have given the world some amazing music. Their originality and musicianship is almost unrivaled and their golden age from The Yes Album, Fragile, Close To The Edge

Thought it was fantastic that they finally played Emotional Rescue Live. Maybe they'll play Too Much Blood live now too. They've worked on it in the past and that song is a killer deep cut.

Very much like Midnight Rambler in that the studio versions are good but live it takes on an epic quality. I was also blown away when I saw the song live on the No Security tour. Was great that Mick took away the cage, as that would've made it cheesy.

It might be a language thing, but I took it as a positive. That he meant it as a plus, a good thing. Like an 'Exilian' ingredient; that it is right there in the soup and supports the rockin bluesy swamp feel. Well said - that's exactly what I mean by Jagger's vocals are down in the mix. Meaning that Jagger's vocals are basically another instrument mixed almost equally

I loved Primitive Cool and still enjoy it to this day. But I also really liked She's The Boss. They both sound a bit dated now, but that's not a fair "fault" of the albums themselves. They were of their times. The biggest problem with Primitive Cool was the lead off single Let's Work, which as noted, is so bad that it single handedly killed the album. I hated the son

Heard there's gonna be a Knack live EP. And before you laugh, the Knack was a hell of a band in their genre. Amazing players by the way. And don't forget their drummer Bruce Gary was the drummer with Jack Bruce and Mick Taylor....

You're definitely right in comparing GnR's Knockin to Dylan's original studio version. I should've been more specific. GnR's cover is played still pretty "straight" and when comparing to later Dylan live versions - ex the version on Before The Flood with The Band from '74 - it's fairly comparable with a few effects thrown on. But point taken.... I&

Thanks for the nice comment(s) on my reviews - yes I write my own reviews. Exile would be my #2 pick as the greatest Stones album ever. Exile is an amazing timeless musical journey, but pound for pound Sticky Fingers is tops in my book.

One of the all time great covers - because it's completely different but works wonderfully and is pretty potent and powerful. Never understood how and why so many successful cover versions are virtual carbon copies of the originals (think Guns & Roses with Live & Let Die or their version of Knockin' on Heaven's Door). I hear their versions on the radio but never the origi

Additional proof that Jagger is one of the greatest writers of ballads ever. I personally love his solo ballads. If one keeps an open mind: Hard Woman, Party Doll, Say You Will, Evening Gown, Hang On To Me Tonight, Angel In My Heart, Don't Call Me Up and Too Far Gone are superior or at least equally compare to the best Stones ballads, especially since Out Of Tears. And of all those Don
