It is not suprising. Ron Wood was not an accountant working from 8 to 15, and catethism teacher at the parish on fridays and proud member of the stamp collection club of his neighborhood. He's been a Rollin Stones member and a person able to party with Keith Richards for years. Regarding rock stars we'd better focus in their side as musicians...

The way some stones songs are played in this video may be based in two reasons: they should be played differently for the sake of just sound different OR they should be played like that because it was the way Mick thought they HAD TO SOUND in the stones, This doubt can not be solved....

It may be wrong to expect at their age and present social context "an album". Furthermore...does "album" at the present have the traditional meaning? or does it cause nowadays the traditional expectation? Marginal note: My daughter and her friends do not know what an album is. All they understand/know is clicking in spotify, youtube and so on.

I watched again this song. I think this is one of the peaks of stones live renditions. Its length is particularly long compared to others in the same tour. Does the band went by the flow or these kind of "jam"/improvisation hides a prior rehearsal o a prior agreement so to speak? what do you think?

QuoteElmo Lewis That story was published many years ago, but is still creepy We'd better stay in the "only music" zone. And far from the private lives of rock icons.

QuoteDandelionPowderman <. It seems Keith was not willing to talk about him.> Taylor only played a minor part on Talk Is Cheap, and he is not on Live At The Hollywood Palladium. It would have been surprising if they talked about him in this interview, imo. Perhaps if the live version of I Could Have Stood You Up got a mention. How you conclude that Keith wasn't willing to talk ab

The journalist knows Winos enough to know thay TAYLOR played in Talk is Cheap song. So... They agreed (or the journalist accepted) the omission/censorship of Taylor. No trace of him in the interview. It seems Keith was not willing to talk about him. It would be interesting to know what happened the last time Taylor worked with the stones and why everything seemed to finish utterly unnot

Obviously Bill. And Taylor. No Bill no Stones sound anymore. (I know the present bass player is an extraordinarie one, he played with Miles Davis and technically is beyond what this band needs and so on...).

We stones fans (mostly) do not rank GHS as a top priority. We would not suggest it as the FIRST stones record to hear in order to atract a novice to our world. BUT according to its present success and compared to what happened to other recording reissues---market proved us wrong !...new people would seem to love GHS more than some of our admired "classics"!

I know this is arguable. But I think this is the most overwhelming reissue in stones career and it surpasses any other reissue made before (marketing wise, so to speak). I do not mind it. But in the other hand it puzzles me. Does somebody agree? What may be the reason/s behind this extraordinaire effort compared to others? There are other records reissues that deserved at least the sam
