If your not sure what Kevin Parker’s all about you should check out his band ‘Tame Impala’ he plays, records, and produces it all himself. ‘lonerism’ Is a classic record to check out for ref, altho he’s gone more keyboard oriented recently. I’d also check out mick jaggers original of ‘gotta get a grip’ to see the difference. Basicly jaggers is horrid, slick 80s soundin lifeless production i

QuoteKRiffhard QuoteMisterDDDD I'm liking the War On Drugs remix.. great fuller sound and overall feels the most complete of the versions. Of the three main versions I would rank the first version my favorite, followed by this WOD remix. Interesting to note, on Apple Music, they used to list two untitled songs on the Deluxe edition (tracks 11 & 12) disc2. I see now that they have fi

The 'new' tracks we've had since the last album came out. I use the term 'new' with a broad stroke so includes any touched up Outtakes from Exile/Some Girls etc that have 'new' parts added. e.g. Plundered My Soul, Scarlet, Pass the wine (possibly Criss Cross), Do you think i care, Living in a Ghost Town. is there a complete list of All the 'new'

Quotegeorgelicks The original version available of Fingerprint File on most releases was mastered at a faster speed than the original recording, 6:33 vs 7:01. The version of the song mastered at the correct slower speed was released on the Japanese SHM-SACD. It's on Youtube too: Not anymore, can anyone ping me a link please. I love this song

Plundered My Soul is one the best Stones songs in the last 2o years. Why this was never performed live and brushed up gig tight remains a moot point. Title 5 is beautiful. The rest i haven't really listened to enough possibly after initial listen when buying. I do think all the the outtakes from Exile Some Girls etc, when put together to make a decent LP is some great great recent work.

Quotedcba QuoteGazza Going by the revisionist nature of past 'bonus discs', whether they'll all genuinely be from 1972-73 is another thing. The late 1972 Jamaican sessions seem to have been quite fruitful (in terms of quantity) so why not hope for the best? And they have a joker in their sleeve : the early 1973 L.A. sessions that produced the (imo) absolutely great Windmill o

Nice song, fits with the times. Misses a killer solo ala Mick Taylor Misses the feeling that the musicians are playing to the drummer and not to a click track. Misses the sound of a band playing live and then overdubbing the parts vocals i do like it, its current, some of the production is nice (some very subtle pushes), great vocal (not keen on autotune but whatever i can deal with it), gr

Sway @ same venue same band one with taylor recorded on a phone, one without taylor professionally recorded and mixed by the band. 2013 sway live from a phone with Taylor (his leads starts at 3.33) 1998 Sway live from the official stones page and eq'd by a pro, and from the desk (Woods lead @ 2.47) Regardless of Taylor, the band itself sounds poorer/ring rusty in 2013 on this tr

QuoteTaylor1 Taylor ,Richards, and Wood play great for men in their 70s,but none are as good as when they were 40.Listening to Taylor playing Midnight Rambler from Shanghai and Germany on the 50 and Counting Tours and CYHMK at Glastonbury he sounds pretty damn good.I don’t hear where you can say Wood and Richard are playing better thanTaylor. Its hard to come out and play great everynight when you

Micks released stuff suffers from the studio for me if you know what i mean BUT are there any outtakes that are more organic, live, natural. 3 words i don't naturally think of with his stuff. He's got it in him. stuff like too many cooks (i know its 70s) the bonus music he added to, the stones B&B, and plundered my soul shows that he can cut music thats organic, live, natural and d

Quoteretired_dog QuoteMCDDTLC Tommy - the Taylor as insurance was BS... bottom-line - Charley,Keith and Ronnie all wanted Taylor to be included, it was Jagger who said: Stones are a 2-guitar band - period.. would love to see a one night show - recorded - doing all the 70's albums, and include Taylor & Wyman!!!! For us "old" Stones fans!!! I don't know how you can be so
