QuoteStonesTod where's bill o when you need him....he'd slap keith around and not let him finish a sentence...if he can bully obama he can bully anyone... In this case I would have prefered Billo to Fallon. He couldn't have done worse.

Canada leads 1-0 to Russia after two periods. The winner will meet Finland (who defeated Norway with 4-1) in the semifinals. Go Russia! Third period is coming up.

About the concept of the word "Eurotrash". It is only Western Europe that is comparable to North America when it comes to economic terms like GNP per capita. Southern- and Central Europe isn't in that league and most certainly not the countries behind the "Iron Curtain". And the former Soviet satellite states are really Asian countries.

As I pointed out earlier, the ESC used to have s-o-m-e class earlier (1960-1985). At that time it was dominated by Western European countries. Since the fall of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, the contest has been dominatet by semi-Asian countries (former Russian satellit states). And believe me they can produce some trash! The ESC is now, and has been for 20 years or so, a formidable orgy in tr

I wouldn't call that an interview. I would call it a kiss ass sales event. The interviewer has no integrity and is too subservient. I don't find Keith's oneliners t-h-a-t funny. Fallon isn't a journalist, he's a celebrity comedian.

Well since they probably need 20 gigs just to get in gear, lets compromise on this: 8 cities in North America, 6 in Europe, 2 in South America, 1 in Japan, 1 in Australia. Play 1-3 gigs in each city. 1 PPV on each continent. And call that a World Tour!

Here is a bit of useless information: 14 of 30 threads on this page (1) are non Stones related. I wonder what that tells us?

I know, nobody cares, but Sweden won against Germany with 5-2. Sweden will meet Czech Republic in one of the semifinals. What a match that will be. Tomorrow Canada-Russia and Finland-Norway in the remaining quarterfinals.

When a celebrity kid does this it usually means that they were to spoiled to succeed in anything else and can't be bothered to maintain a regular job. Little extra money besides daddy's allowance so you can buy a diamond or so to your new designer dress!

Jagr scores his third! Congratulations Czech Republic, 4-0 against USA. By the way, this was my 500th post on IORR!

Jagr used to sport a mullet, like Jagger did in the 80`s. Czech Republic - USA 2-0 right now. 9 minutes left of the match.

Quote71 Tele A limited series of "special" shows is more likely...They won't put all their chips down on one show If there will be a tour this is the only feasible alternative. I don't believe in a one-off neither: Stones often needs about 20 "gigs" just to get in gear. A scaled down tour would be it. Less cities, less concerts.

Czech Republic - USA 2-0 after the second period. Jagr scored two goals. Later today Sweden against Germany (I put some money on 3-2 to Sweden. 13 x inset). Tomorrow Canada will meet Russia and Finland will play Norway. What do you think? Who will be World Champions this year? Maybe Norway, BV?

I don't mind the old Eastern European countries (those who participated before the fall of the Berlin Wall), but since the splitting of Yugoslavia and Soviet Union too many "new" Eastern European/ Asian countries got into the ESC. And therefore dominates it. But they do not pay for it or produce it.

The ESC is an orgy in bad taste these days. There are simply too many Eastern European (Semi-Asian) countries around who votes on each other. And they don't have a real orchestra any more, instead they use playback. You may ridicule the ESC but it was certainly better in the old days (60`s, 70`s and part 80`s).

I proposed something like this a couple of months ago but was immediately "gunned down" by senior members on this forum. My idea was something like this: Play New York, London, Paris do 3-5 concerts on each place; sell the last concert on each place to the highest bidding TV company. Maybe you can cover a couple of more cities, but not too many. I don't think the usual big tour is

Okey, the fame then! Jet-set life, high society! Or maybe it's true love as you seem to believe. There is always a slim chance for that.

Very true, Rocky D! John Lennon said something similar about Mick and Keith. Even though Lennon could be quite "childish" himself. I guess Jaggers' self-esteem was better to begin with than Richards' (and Lennons'). Or something like that... .

Funny, Stonescrow! Why not, in the middle of the interview, a curtain is opened and the whole band stands there inviting Keith to play a few songs from a new album to be presented soon!

As far as I know the Stones have stayed away from Letterman and Leno through the years. Quite an achievement. Were they really offended by the age jokes or why is that?

Isn't the trick, when inteviewing Keith or Mick, to talk about anything but the obvious. That way you will stay away from the non-answers and bs.

QuoteGazza I think hes performed live for about ten minutes in total since August 2007. That is really sad, come to think of it. A musician must keep busy with his instrument constantly.
